The irony is that asmodai was hating his job on hunting the fallen, especially those who repented for theie action. There was an episode in which he lost sone of his fingertips protecting a fallen from belial.

The ironic thing is asmodai is laniant and tries to bring fair justice, seperating the traitors from the guys who got lost and return to the lion. He stoped ezreal from puncing cipher cuz cipher wasnt guilty yet

Being able to assign a squad of these guys to Asmodai is hilarious. I like to pretend they are making funny faces at him behind his back.

Isn't Asmodai's job more important than ever, as Fallen have to show genuine repentance to become Risen? He just doesn't get to torture them, or kill them afterword. And hey, he seems to have a new sword too. He didn't even lose the Blades of Reason (they're just sort of hidden on the back of his belt). I'd say this is a win-win.

I genuinely don't know what Asmodai is gonna be like when shit really hits the fan and he gets confronted by this reality (if it has happened already, whoops, I didn't know) Like would this be cause for him to go renegade as his fetish is now stripped from him? Will he be put under some form of "retraining" to aim him in a better direction? I can't remember why, but there was a time i went all in to running Dark Angels. Ive since moved on to running Legion of the damned, then a brief stint as the Angry Marines, then my last Space Marines chapter i stayed loyal to are the Salamanders because i take the Emporer Test/Speech channel as actual lore and I absolutely loved Vulcan! However, i now main Tau and my Nids because at my heart, im just Fabius Bile but 30% more morally sound, 150% more pleasant, and 1500% more obsessed with playing God with biomass.

I think it's funny that a good bit of the Fallen actually do end up as bodyguards to Lions when he first returned and then later they became The Risen. Not sure if that was the intention, but it made it funnier in my eyes.
