For better efficiency I always used Grudgebringer fireball manually. Cause like mortar, it doesn't understand the idea of "leading" while auto-shooting, so you have to lead manually (fire it in front of the moving regiment, in the point where it supposedly will be when fireball lands)

I don't think that bowmen and crossbowmen can stand a fight face to face with trolls for long. Even in great numbers XD.
