*Hey guys welcome to Total War: Warhammer! This is a 2v2 between the Dwarves and the Empire. If you enjoyed it don't forget to leave a like and a comment :D. Thanks for watching and if you want to skip the army comps the battle starts at **7:06*
This gameplay is AWESOME! Thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful battle with the rest of us. I honestly feel that there's no point in getting my old Warhammer Tabletop army up and running again - this game has all the excitement I could ask for! I'm especially pleased with the sounds, although I've only heard them through video clips like this.
Should of sicked those Slayers on Karl Franz... btw I always love the idea of grudge throwers. The dwarves carve a "grudge" into each stone they throw. Like 'You shaved Stubby McStubbins Beard!'
+julian garrido I think it says on the Steam store page the requirements. I got them for you so I think you should be able to run it . SO will I :). RECOMMENDED: OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 64Bit Processor: Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: (DirectX 11) AMD Radeon R9 270X 2048MB / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2048MB @ 1080p DirectX: Version 11 Storage: 35 GB available space
yeah i saw them but i dont know to much about the video specs thats why i ask if my things will run it at least on the lowest smoothly xD. if you say im good to go then ill buy it.
Generals were nev useless, you just have to know how to use them, this is fantasy based game that's why generals are so strong.if you are expecting this type of generals in historical TW then I believe that's never Hanna happen.
+saxman362 I think you need to play other Total Wars again. In Medieval 2 Total War, your generals were by far your strongest and most capable unit until you got to the very, very late game. They often killed far more units than in most of these Warhammer matches I've seen. In the campaign, you would generally have 5 generals as your cavalry force since they were so potent and they would instantly rout almost any unit other than Knights on a full charge. Warhammer Lords only seem strong because they are one man units as opposed to the usual 30-120, but I would say they are only marginally stronger than previous Total Wars. In Shogun 2, my general would often have over 200 kills just from rear charges and attacking archers. In Rome 2, the Oathsworn general and the Macedonian Companions were scary as fuck as both an elite unit and a general.
+Jonathan Sugihara in Rome Total War 1 I remember Generals were a full unit of heavy horsemen, the bodyguards basically. They were quite strong in the early game (you had almost no good cavalry then), especially when you had 2 or 3 or more generals in one battle. I used them to mop up fleeing units, to charge flanks and disorganized troops and to soak up losses, since unlike normal units they didn't have to go to town to fill up losses.
I think this is probably my favorite battle I have watched so far, you're doing great with the zooms and slowmo sections. Overall wicked cool battle too, some proper skirmishing and ambushing and shit. Gawh. Loving it
yeessss!!! so excited to start seeing some gameplay of this regularly! im a massive fan of the tabletop game and ive been repeating the same videos for weeks in anticipation! Top guy Apollo
What a great video, I can't wait to get my hands on this videogame ! It is certainly the best Total War ever released. You made a great job on this video, I hope to see more videos like that !
Hey bud, been with you since 20k. SO glad to see you're getting up there. I really enjoyed your videos and I've been so hyped for this game since the reveal. I really appreciate this 2v2 as it was amaaaaazing. down to the last few men.
WARHHHAAAMMMEERRRRRRRRR Not that I'm especially pumped for this game but so great to see the progression of the channel (I've been here since about 6,000 subs). Still, should be a good addition to the channel. Also, happy 116k and probably 117k tomorrow.
I really enjoy this guys vids,I never even heard of this game but it looks epic.I watched soo many of his videos I am offically addicted to pixelated Apollo
For all those people wondering: Warhammer is long before Warcraft. Warcraft is based on it. I dunno if the same goes for Warcraft, but Starcraft was once going to be a Warhammer 40,000 game, but then Blizzard lost the license/rights and they just converted over what they had to their own cacophony of silly bullshit.
+CobaltLotus They never lost th rights becasue there were never any rights to begin with. Warcraft was based on DnD as said by its creators. Both warhammer and warcraft are just generic fantasy, hence the similarities.
+CobaltLotus It doesn't matter which copied or made what out of what. It is what it is. Warhammer is Warhammer, and Warcraft is Warcraft. Same with Warhammer 40.000 and Starcraft. To me, it's all gravy. :) Tbh, I think it doesn't have to be repeated. I think the people just have to let the whole ''Warhammer came before Warcraft, Blizzard copied Warhammer and made Warcraft'' thing go. It's all redundant to keep talking about that. Atleast to me, because I like both dearly. I love it all.
+Khornedevotee The inspiration is clear, but Blizzard figured it was better to stick with their own IP instead and obviously it paid off. Still, inspiration is clear enough, but then so it is with Warhammer. I mean it's taking in the influences from other fantasy that came before it. Warcraft lives. Warhammer fantasy is.. unfortunately, dead. :( At least they finally let people do something with the license, Vermintide, Warhammer Total War etc..
Warhammer is so much better than Warcraft, anyone agree? I mean I don't play Warcraft the game but I'm taking about the different factions and creatures and armies and world and so forth not the games if anyone was confused.
+Liam Redmond I agree, I think Warhammer has a little more than other established IPs. It's an interesting, imperfect universe well suited to the conflict it portrays.
+Liam Redmond well SEGA have stolen much from warcraft 3 and warcraft 3 is one of the first 3D strategy games so you cant blame it.the 2 games are very different but i like both!
+Tadicuslegion78 I wonder how the engine will handle the new mechanics introduced and what kinds of bugs we will be expecting that are related. Sieges towers in Attila still tend to bug out this day.
+Tadicuslegion78 so far people with early access have been saying that the game runs fairly well. I don't think it's going to be as bad as rome 2. We'll see tomorrow
pix, just some tactical advice, as dwarfs you want to outgun WHOEVER you may oppose, and definitely defend. Also, the runesmith is not a combat hero, he's basically a spellcaster who gets buffs to nearby units. From seeing this, I don't think that I like the way that battles will play out. This is because, knowing the lore, and how warhammer fantasy is played, I know that it is slow-paced, but the fast pace in this game seems to make battles too chaotic and hard to handle. I feel like it matters less about strategy now, and more about who has better units and better micromanagement, but I will see on the 24th.
holy crap pixie you got war hammer on the 19th I thought it comes out on the 24th! that is awesome! Also I thought you were going to finish up the civil war today but this is so cool too man thanks :D
Thanks a lot, Apollo. Amazing battle, as always. I think the speed of the battle is to high to manage all of the units and spells. A slow battle mod needed. But still an epic battle!
This is probably how it all started, the Dwarf Lord showed up and said, "Good mornin'! How are we all? I have a wee proposition, if ye wouldn't mind giving me a few moments of yer time. Would you consider...JUST SODDING OFF?!"
Bright wizards are some powerful magic dealers. To say they are combat specialists is silly. I can not believe that Bright wizard lived that long with all the melee that he did. If this is how a Bright wizard is that means the Chaos sorcerer will be a beast. That was an awesome battle. Thank you Pix for bring us this early game play.
i think i need to get a press copy of the game need to to get on that right away PA please and thank you ;p PS love the vids man you're probably my new favorite total war youtuber i like how you show off all the units and take the time to slow down the battles and whatnot.
With a battle this huge I don't feel you need to worry about apologizing when you've got to slow it down to show us all that is happening, I'm confident most understand and appreciate the thoroughness.
Okay hands down this was epic AF !!! PA you really hit a nerve with this one, fantastic^^ btw. lets see how long it takes until someone gives Kaaaaaaaaarl franz his ridiculus purple hat :D :D
Nice video pixelated Apollo and how have you been man? Oh and congrats on hitting over 100,000 subs Man you really deserve it! I've been watching your videos when you had 20,000 subs and I can't believe how far you've become I'm so proud of you man!!!
Looks pretty fun. There were some things I noticed though that are a bit strange-Hero Units are substantially larger than other members of their species, and there is no longer a reloading animation for firearms. Also, No more secondary weapons for cavalry-so the lance cav ended up looking rather awkward prodding at enemy soldiers in melee after the charge.
"Fire into the forests men! We can't see em' but they're in there..Somewhere..*Squint* " PFfffff lol the best XD long beards have some loooong beards alright..hot damn those beards are glorious
OK Pixelated, real talk. Honest user review: on a scale of 10 what would you give this game? Are there improvements like shogun 2, or "improvements" like Rome 2? and is it worth the 60 bucks? thanks
