I know this is an old video and it's great and all but I thought a "lore" video would have a more in-depth look at the Greenskins. This faction lore video is a bit lacking with actual lore info - it's more of a lore summary. This is just a bit of constructive criticism . Not trying to make light of the hard work that goes into making these types of videos. Cheers!

Admittedly, I get confused about Mork and Gork, but I think of it like this. One of them is Brutally Cunning in the fact that he plots brutally, he makes plans to be cunning and achieve his goals. While the other one is Cunningly Brutal in the fact that he knows how to kill you in the best, most brutally efficient way.
The bone bois had nagash and endless units, elves and dark elves have magic and superior genetics. Lizards somehow invented a space lazer. And theres no such thing as ratmen with nukes and endless numbers. But the orcs who have a technological breakthrough when putting a bigger rock on a catapult somehow had grimgore beat the forces of chaos...... "If you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tuff". Great song.
Gorbad Ironclaw, although not in Total war, would deserve an episode as well. He has been the greatest of all Orc Warlords that has ever lived. Great Video!
Have they not known of the Goblins for a good while longer than the Skaven? Also, Skarsnik alone has a whole chapter dedicated to him in the Book of Grudges.
I would say the greenskins. As mentioned in the video, dwarves have fougth the greenskins since the golden Age; back when the dwarven gods still where living among their children; while skavens came into existence milenia later. The first encounter (that I'm aware of) with skavens is during the Time of Woes; and even then, it is only after the bloody Goblin War; being the greenskins the ones who dealt the greatest damage to the declinig Dwarven Empire. Even nowadays; while skavens are a common threat to the Karaks and mines and the greatst rivals in therms of control of the undergroung territories; they are not such a constant threath as the greeskins: not only goblins try to invade the Karaks using the underground mines; but orkish tribes constantrly siege the fortreses from the outside; sack small dwarven villages or assault travelers in the surface (not to speak the attack to allied humans). Also, while skavens have been a constant impediment to the re-building of the subterranean empire; greenskins are the ones who have held up dwarven fortreses for the longer; being Karak Eigth Peaks a major goblin kingdom and the old Karak Ungor the major headquarter of Grimgor Ironhide himself... So, while both races are equally hated (if anithing; for a dwarf there is not such a thing as a greater grudge than another; all of them must be avenged after all) I would say that the greenskins have gained a pretty speciall hatred in the heart of all dwarfdom... After all "The only good grobbi; is the dead grobbi"
I NEED MORE. Can't wait for Sunday , u guys are waaaaay better lore channel than most , a combination of cool cinematics and interesting narration is very effective . A very easy and deserved sub .
Outstanding - and I just want to praise you to the rafters for not pronouncing Waaaagh with a hard G at the end like so many others. I never understood it - every ork in warhammer games always makes it clear that it's obviously just a bastardisation of "war"
When there's no other race left to fight, the orks will just build some spaceships and find someone else to fight, if they can get past fighting themselves.
A very extremely awesome video as always The Book of Choyer. And the orcs and goblins of Warhammer have far more numbers than of Tolkien's middle earth orcs.
I hate greenskins faction in mortal world campaign, especially if you played on hard difficulty level, everytime i defeat them, there's always more to come....
currently doing a Skarsnik campaign. I'm doing my best to roleplay him. I try to bring a ludicrous amount of basic goblin units and archers. I want it to look like that scene from the Hobbit: Unexpected Journey, where they meet the goblin king.
I tried it and gave up , goblins have abysmal moral and every one declares war around the tenth turn ,skarsnik and the spider are pretty good tho ... How is ur campaign going ? Any advice for a fellow total war fanboy ? PS : I'm good with the greenskins faction even on very hard it's just the position and early units that hamper my progress .
@@ahmadtarek7763 I'm doing Skarsnik on Hard campaign right now and I've figured right at the start to not try and hit Karak Norn to your south. It's too defensive and their army never leaves. I've seen some argue that you CAN rush Karak Norn but it'll be tough and will require you to make a lot of micro-managing your arachnarok spider for maximum charge bonus and fear across their line. I suggest hitting the empire first because their troop quality is a little more on par with the goblins in the early game. You can get a couple of wins against their armies as well as hitting their lightly defended towns for sacking. Move south to hit Nuln and Wissenland if its not too heavily defended. This will be on you to decide if it's worth the attack. Hopefully you won't have already been forced into a war giving you the ability to choose when you want to attack them. If you have a Wagh popped on Skarsnik I've tunneled back over to Karak Norn to finish them. The campaign bonus of -40% to upkeep of goblins is very good. You may think archers are worthless, which they kinda are, but you can always have a 2nd army of pure goblin/goblin archers that's very cheap following Skarsnik's main army. You may be concerned about the Clan Angrund which will be the most aggressive towards Skarsnik because the only way to Eight Peaks is through the dwarves or make an exhausting march around. Several times I've tried different approaches to reach Eight Peaks. I've tried to conquer the land while moving east in order to give me a foothold while not caring about any of the land. This was not a good plan as Clan angrund will sweep in behind, taking your lands, and then have a massive empire. So I try to secure the original location of Karak Norn and the entire province with a single CHEAP goblin army that I move between settlements in the event an enemy army gets too close. Skarsnik and another army will move east and only sack the dwarven lands. Hopefully the amount of fighting will give you enough of a reputation boon with the greenskins and other orc clans to give you a military access deal, so to not suffer rep penalties. Once at Karak Eight Peaks there's usually 2 armies. I've had success with switching both my armies into ambush and managed to pull one out. But it seems the other army is not willing to leave the hold. Basically you have to hit Karak Eight Peaks with both your armies and their Waghs popped. A mistake I've done in the past is Confederating too early. It's not in your best interests to confederate weaker orc tribes until you are setup in Karak Eight Peaks. There will simply be too many different areas to fight at once. Also the majority of other factions will be able to take your newly confederated holdings because A) there's no army there to defend it, and B) If there is an army there it might be too expensive to keep. I forgot to mention this earlier but the army you would leave to defend Karak Norn and that province should be poking into empire territory every now and then. The 4 province empire territory can net you 1,000 gold per turn. It's also a good idea to give this army the raider traits to generate more loot.

I prefer Fantasy Goblins to 40K Gretchin. They’re much more diverse, and allows for more talkative Named Characters. Did you know “Fire Kobolds” are a species of Goblin that live in the Southern Molten regions south of the Badlands? So much variety! More then even the Orcs.
The ork gods are the same person but they don’t know that since the fall of the old ones, the war in heaven. It’s a theory but a valid one. I mean why two ork gods Maybe they were one But we’re cut in half

How is there a whole lore video on greenskins without mentioning the fact that they aren't born, but spawn from mushrooms? (also explains why there aren't any female orks)
I've always been wondering why can't the vampire counts raise the Dead greenskins I mean if you think about it no matter how many greenskins you kill there's always more greenskins and the vampire counts need dead bodies to raise new undead armies why can't they just use the dead greenskins? if they could they probably be an unstoppable Force cuz well like I said no matter how many greenskins die there's always more greenskins an unlimited supply of undead Greenskins soldiers for the vampire counts can you explain that to me please I just don't understand it (? 😢?)
Can anyone tell me things about orc/goblin reproduction and biological nature? I mean, in the universe do they have a shorter/longer lifespan than humans or elves? Things like that
They are biologically immortal but they usually don't live all that long since they are always fighting Greenskins are part fungi and therefore reproduce asexually via the spores they constantly release all over the place
