From playing multiple sessions of WHF I've come to the conclusion that the solution to most scenarios is to kill everybody in the village, burn it to the ground (after lootage), and then sift through the ashes to make sure you got everybody and everything.

I always love playing the witch hunter in vermintide. Always makes me think of Solomon Kane.

This is a sign from Sigmar or RNGsus. I was playing in Mordheim a very tough battle with my witch hunter warband in which my leader, a hero and 3 henchmen got dusted and all got full recoveries. And then this happened. Truly a sign, i tell you

My favorite example of a “good” witch hunter is a man who, upon discovering that a family’s young daughter bears the mark of chaos (one of her legs has a hoof), he condemns her to be burned at the stake. However, because she is all of 6 years old and obviously could not have done anything to bring this curse upon herself, and is just as much a victim as she is a dangerous mutant, he orders that she be given opium until she can’t feel anything *before* she is burned at the stake. That idea of “I fucking hate Chaos and all its machinations, but I’m still sane enough to realize that this shit will sink its claws into the most innocent of souls if we give it half a chance. I don’t enjoy everything my job requires me to do, but it’s a job that absolutely *must* be done.”

In your example scenerio, I imagine the Witchhunter would charge the whole village for allowing such a statue to remain. If they were true followers of Sigmar they wouldnt allow such a thing to stand.

I have a question. Let's say there is a situation where both Witch Hunter Templar and Warrior Priest of the Silver Hammer find themselves in the situation where both found out marks of Chaos corruption. But not necessarly come eye to eye when it comes to dealing with the matter. Where Witch Hunter wants to burn entire village and Warrior Priest who by the word of Sigmar is one who protects those from the Chaos wants to go with more humane approach. Witch Hunter wants to go with Purification, and Warrior Priest wants to go with Salvation. What is such situation leads to outright disagreement? Both "Gentlemen" have backing of the Church. Which ultimately has the higher authority? Which one of them has the higher standing within the hierarchy of the Church? Which one has to give way to the other? I ask this question simply because I have always had difficulty with seeing difference between Warrior Priests of the Silver Hammer and Templar Witch Hunters. Both are sworn to destroy the great evil of Chaos and more. They may have different methods and resources. But both organizations aim for the same goal.

One of my favourite WHFRP campaigns had my players caught between a Solkan witch hunter and a Malal one (posing as a follower of Sigmar). All three groups trying to solve what was happening in Marienburg and the surrounding areas.

This is really helpful for me since I am going to be running a pathfinder game in warhammer fantasy universe thanks Arch you have been a great for me.

in my 2nd campaign of warhammer fantasy rp our squad of 8 players (plus one skaven player which had been SOMEHOW hiding that he is a skaven) go into the sewers. the skaven player finds a bunch of skaven assassins and convinces them to ambush us from behind at the first encounter. later we tried to kill the cultists we were there to kill, then the skaven player poison bombed literally all 8 of us with one bomb as the cultists attacked. I was one of 3 survivors and it was actually one of the fate points spent that summoned 3 witch hunters that heard about us going into the sewers and knew we were fucking retarded. they killed the cultists and the skaven and saved the 3 of us but they couldnt save the campaign. it was the last session of that campaign. i called the moment 8 man collateral autism. i still have a screenshot of this moment. my friends are dumb lol. witch hunters ftw though!

Hey Arch, comming from the DoW III forum (great vid btw) and there are still the same 2 guys trying to badmouth you and to shut down all imrpovement ideas inspired from older games. I tried my best to prove them wrong, but it keeps getting more and more hilarious, might wanna look into it ;)
