This revamped boss is part of my WL3 hacking project (going on since start of 2019). Using a lua script, combined with ASM code (mostly written on the fly).
This is the kind of creativity I would love to enable once I learn Ghidra and software development with C++. Wario land 2 & 3 deserve their own modding tools.
Seeing Dollboy, the first boss from a childhood game of mine, using firearms and molotovs was definitely not on my bingo list of things I'd ever witness in my life.
1:19 no indicator that you need to jump up off-screen, so maybe there should be a ladder here. Other than that, really good boss fight. It's really impressive what scripting can do.
Gosh. The Wario Land community is not a big one but I sure do love these videos, you have impressive skills that you are able to mod a game to this extent
How much of this project would you say you have completed? It’s incredibly ambitious and I’m wondering how much you’re planning on doing. Anyways as I’ve already said this is great, it’s always a treat to see your work
5% ? I've made 13-14 treasures so far, but there's so much more stuff to take care of so it's not indicative of anything. I don't want a boring WL3 replicata so I need to pump up a lot of new stuff from the start. I believe this will get faster when the main path will be completed. But right now I'm super busy with a non-wario project that I've postponed for too long, so it's kinda stale.
