To think Wario Land 4 and Wario Land for the Virtual Boy is what inspired Pizza Tower and Antonblast Respectively.

You gotta hand it to Wario, not many people are willing to face eldritch abominations with the hope of getting a fat load of gold.

I'm happy that WarioWare is still around,but I'm sad that there's nothing in Wario Land. I hope there will be a remake or a new one.

The Wario Land series are my absolute favorite in terms of Mario's side character series. Everything about it from Wario's trait, to the side scrolling platforms we're all familiar with, but with more collectables, puzzles & exploration in the right amount of sizes and all the weirdest moments is what I loved about the series. I hope we get an new Wario Land game on the Switch. But at least we got Pizza Tower that took inspiration from Wario Land. So I'm happy with that.

The Wario Land games are absolutely bonkers but incredibly fun. especially with the secret stages on the earlier entries, they had a surprising amount of replayability for portable titles.

I love how some of the Captain Syrup bosses include her boarding a space pod similar to Tatanga or even Eggman. Captain Syrup deserves more recognition from Nintendo than what she gets. She’s such a cool character and sometimes seen as the true Wapeach.

I think Wario Land 4 released in Japan 1 month before Dr Mario 64 released in America, and Dr Mario 64 released in Japan only on Nintendo Power Services in February 1, 2004

Now THIS is a series, please more of this. I've been done with Mario since Mario Galaxy 2 because it's always the same crap, Wario gets a new villain every game. Compare a video of wario bosses and mario bosses and it's clear what is the more creative series when it comes to bosses. You'll see bowser in half the freaking video if you see a mario one. Bowser was a decent villain. In Mario Bros 1 (and Japan version of mario bros 2) he looks like an absolute idiot and I barely consider him true bowser since he looks nothing like him, then they had wart who was clearly cooler than that goofy version of bowser, but in Mario Bros 3 they brought out bowser's actual design and he was pretty cool... And then Nintendo thought "wait holy crap I have an amazing idea, lets make this guy the final boss in EVERY game for some reason. We must NEVER change it." yeah because variety and fresh ideas would just be awful wouldn't it. What the hell. Anyway, wish they made a new Wario Land type game, sick of it only being the wario minigame games.
