First I hated Grumble Volcano. Then I hated Warios Goldmine. Then I realised that this game is perfection and I love every single frame and pixel of it.

@Cooper Malmstrom At Disneyland (California), they play it in Spanish first (not exactly matching the English version) before the famous English version. Big Thunder is probably the only ride that had the safety speil play in Spanish before English, when it's usually the other way around.

This was THE hardest track for me growing up. I never went past 50 cc, so the harder turns of rainbow road never really settled in for me until i was MUCH older, trying to unlock Rosalina
I never realized until recently that the part at 0:42 uses the violin from Mario 64's Slider theme! Great, now I wanna hear Wario's Gold Mine in the style of Slider.
When I was like really young this map was my favorite, even though I couldn't stay on the track for the life of me lmao. It's still my favorite course to this day, and it bugs the hell out of my friends because I kick ass on it every time I play bc I've been playing this course obsessively for at least 10 years.

Last week I played this course for the first time in almost 10 years (since 2013) and I completely forgot how hard it actually was man, still made me feel as frustrated as it did back then
Who ever tried to fall right on to that green pipes outside the map, the one who tried to go to the place where gold filled carts come from with a small hitbox motorcycle? Your not alone my friend.
I don’t know why but there was something about this track that made it enjoyable. I don’t know if it’s the music or the track, but I liked it and I was surprised to see other people who struggled like it’s SNES rainbow road.
I still remember the running joke between me and my brothers every time we did this course - if you were hit by the bats, you had gotten bitten and were therefore poisoned XD
i remember going all the way back from where the karts came from, literally HOURS of my life trying to find out how the minecarts are made, who makes them, why they make them, 8 year old me as its best. falling and falling again and again, trying and trying, best gameplay experience ever.
I really prefer the more booming percussion in this version. The 8 version is good, but nothing beats the heavy, chaotic feeling of those bass drums in this one.
I remember always getting crushed by them minecart things and for some reason it was always picked. I hated this map back in the day. But now it's iconic.
Funny story. I was a very prideful kid when it came to this game specifically. Whenever anyone ever beat me in this game and bragged about it, i would choose this track so that they would constantly fall off and i would win. I was a cruel kid lol
One of the first memories I ever had playing this game was where my cousin and I would scream whenever we went down the hills 😂 I miss my childhood I want it back!! 💕

I remember playing this game as a kid and I sucked so bad because I just couldn't understand the tilt controls. 10 years later I boot up my old wii and I'm having so much fun with this game. Man, baby me really sucked at videogames...
I can imagine if Waluigi had his nitro track for Mario Kart Wii with that song! Kinda picturing the course being a huge fun Mexican restaurant (Similar To Casa Bonita in Denver, CO and South Park). Calling it "Waluigi's Fiesta Land". This would even reference Waluigi's taco stand meme!
I used to get so pissed off whenever a Wario CPU would play against me on this stage. "You have your own gold mine! Why are you even here!?" Ahh the memories
