The Caresaway Island vacation is doing wonders for at least some of the crew’s mental health. Ashley is not only smiling at Red’s expense, but also smiling that she’s helping him recover from “food poisoning”. Mona isn’t in a rush to get to a job or under pressure to honor a commitment, but instead enjoying a fun underwater excursion only tasked with looking out for Lulu. Orbulon learned to appreciate and respect his Oinker spacecraft after it helped him cure his amnesia. Dribble and Spitz decided to simply have fun in a friendly competition and take a break from the stress of driving cabs in galactic war zones. And 9-Volt was willing to venture into a dark building to save his loved ones even though it was scary, real life experience. He demonstrated that he can brave in real life and not just in a video game world. In fact, probably the only crew member that didn’t benefit from the vacation was Wario, and that’s on him because he couldn’t let go of his greedy ambitions or actually enjoy a vacation with the friends that put up with his antics over and over again. Playing Move it is also surprising good exercise!
I hope we get another game that uses the Joy-Cons like this. My idea is a game where Wario and crew end up in a big movie studio, where the different forms are based around characters you might see in different genres of movie (Massage = Biker, Crocodile = Dragon, Fashionista = Sheriff, Sky Stretch = Superhero, etc), and each character's stage puts them in a different film genre too (Spitz & Dribble = Pirates, Ashley = Medieval, Penny = Western, Orbulon = Space Opera, 9-Volt = Horror, etc). As for the name? What about WarioWare: Action!
pounce is basically this version of the discard. then that first form you learn in Orbulon’s stage, that’s the version of the elephant I think. minus the hands to the rear. think also, Massage is basically either waiter or bicycle.
I love Ashley’s attitude and smile in this stage, it’s so adorable and wholesome! That’s what makes her and Red my 5th favorite WarioWare characters of all time! ❤️❤️ Also, I like how Red grew one of Gahrumble’s horns during Ashley’s spell attempt to grow him back to normal! That’s a nice Easter egg cameo from Gold!
In the Caveat Imptor stage, Ashley and Red are making a sand castle that resembles Ashley’s mansion until Red noticed some berries. He hesitated to eat them only to have a strange feeling in his body. When Ashley heard his voice, she spotted Red noticing he’s been shrunken down due to the berries. She used her magic to grow him back to normal but failed to do so but then had an idea. She decided to forge some square berries to feed Red in order to get him back to normal. The stage starts after that.
Red: GET ME BACK TO NORMAL READY! Ashley: Okay... Enormo-size, Status Quo ante! (her spells deform Red in various ways) Red: Just make me ME AGAIN!... AshleY; Berry-kazam (uses her magic to make cube berries) Here red, eat this, it should help. Red: Okay...@MonkArellano
4:51 Flight Of Icarus Flap your wings to fly through the course to victory! Try different movements to soar, swoop and flap past obstacles and enemies on your way Stage: Ashley & Red Form: Scales
I never thought of Ashley actually going to the beach. That's an unlikelyhood to her personality. She's also smiling more often. Is she going through character development?
I wouldn’t say stolen, maybe reused or recycled sounds better, like as an attempt to make this feel like a sequel or remastered version of the nistolgic warioware smooch mooves
Ashley holding those controllers feels like that she didn't have a choice of being wanting them and wouldn't hesitate to just drop them and walk away out of pure disinterest.
This reminds me of that one SpongeBob episode where SpongeBob makes Squidward tiny with Mermaid Man's belt and tries to turn it back to normal but ends up making him worse.
I feel like I want to get my hands on this game. I mean if it wasn’t for joycons and body control, it would’ve been fun to play it with motion controls. Also, I’m glad they brought the fully spoken dialogue back after it was cut off from Get It Together.
4:55 -5:47 if it isn’t obvious this micro game or Mini game (Since boss stages are longer) is clearly a Reference or an acknowledgment of Kid Icarus Uprising. It’s too obvious, the player is Pit, The Enemies are Clearly Dark Pit. And the music as well. The environment and artstyle however is closer to Ring Fit.
Makes me happy to see it go back to its Wii roots. Only gripe I have is the transitions are too long. Idk it doesn’t seem as fast as a simple quote and next game as the old ones. Still gonna pick this up.
