Looking back on Warlords of Draenor, it wasn't actually that bad. Casual players had loads of fun regardless of the content drought, questing, leveling and exploration was at its best for the game, and exploring had never been as rewarding and interesting. There was always something to do on the side while you were progressing, and it was usually worth it for the extra follower or rewards gained at the end. The dungeons and raids were all memorable, and some like Blackrock Foundry are still some of the best and most enjoyable instances in the game even when compared to raids like Ulduar or Antorus. WOD brought fun features that stood the test of time and remained relevant far after the expansion ended like Toys and Time Walking, and classes truly felt complete. Borrowed power was implemented in its best form and worked so well that people forget they even had it, because it felt so natural and baseline. Ashran was great for PVP content and still gets farmed even now, garrisons are a must-have for any endgame player still for cosmetics and passive gold income/crafting materials. The cinematics were masterpieces and the setting was beautiful in every zone. Looking back at what caused people to be angry was the bugs at the beginning, poor patch timing and a content drought between patches that affected the more serious players. The story was enjoyable despite having much of it cut out in favor of developing Legion and speeding up the patch releases so they weren't even longer. The villains were understandable and even admirable, and everybody knew who they were because they've had so much presence in the game as far back as Warcraft 2. If WOD classic became a thing, I'm sure people would actually enjoy it as long as the patches came out faster.

People would actually enjoy WoD Classic if it would be the version of WoD that the developers promised us, but instead abandoned the expansion 6 months into it to work on Legion and a lot of the promised content was cut. The only good thing to come out of WoD was the raids and the music.

@@NoOne4k I remember the questline of rescuing that mage and what you had to do in order to get her location... At least the tower's soundtrack was beautiful.
