Looks and tidyness? Lmaooooo are you a girl that has nothing to do with how the car drives and it drives poor. Brakes even worse.that would be my biggest complaint now. The way it brakes feels less than good.
I think you’re going a bit too hard on this car. Every point you make isn’t necessarily supposed to happen with the car. It’s not a race car, it’s not meant to go fast af. Sure it’s a sport version but that’s more handling and the feel of the car not necessarily the engine performance. I think you’re not giving her a fair shake
I'm on my 3rd sentra sr I had a 2017,2020 and I just got a22 I love this car ...it ( for the price ) has everything I need and more standard features then Toyota and Honda. The gas mileage is more then adequate...the issue is it has a 13 gallon tank so you find yourself filling it up more frequently, it's a mental illusion. I respect your opinion but I'm gonna have to disagree with everything you said. But I do like your use of the word fuck!!!!🤣😂
my 2022 Sentra Sr gets 35 mpg and more than that in eco. take care of ur car and it’ll take care of u. if u wanted a sports car then u shouldn’t have gotten a sentra bc outside of that they’re great cars
It’s an economy car, with a small motor. You sound big af, you shouldn’t be in a small car like that anyways. It’s a car that will get you from a to b, have good gas mileage and be affordable and it checks those all
The problem with the internet is that people say shit behind a screen cause they can't get fucked up. I mean this seriously. I'm like 160 lmao but you tried that dumb shit. Also I'm doing a follow up video soon. It's way more positive.
One thing I’ll say about the CVT is you have to keep your foot in a steady spot when accelerating. Instead of fighting the simulations simply put your foot down and hold it while the Cvt does the work. It will feel so much more natural!
I have owned 3 Nissans with the CVT and have had no problems. The 2007 Versa had 230,000 miles on it and both my kids learned to drive on it and I had zero problems with the CVT. The 2015 Sentra has 160,000 and my son now owns it and is going strong and I just bought a 2023 Sentra and I very think the CVT on it works very well. You are correct you have to learn to drive a CVT differently than a non CVT but once you get the feel for it they are nice transmissions.
I have the SR that has the same engine ...with bigger wheels ...and the car is AMAZING ....you can't compare a 2.0 aspirated engine with a 2.0 turbo .....this is not what you bought ...compare it with a civic/elantra/corolla ...
@@arnulfoperez534 I say the base model could use a little but more horsepower. of course it's a waste if materials with making extra models instead of one solid car. More so Im gonna make a video on how to drive the Sentra because it is different when you press the gas and feel almost nothing.
2021 Sentra S. 30k miles on it. Only got a check engine light ONCE when I decided to hit 100 on the highway the whole night. Went away when the engine cooled off eventually. Other then that. Haven’t had a any problems. Very reliable. MPG is very fuel efficient. no complaints on that. Enough room front and back as for interior. As for performance I have a friend who added a $300 tune and was able to achieve an additional 50hp. (Stock 150+ chip 50hp= 200hp.) not sleeper status but definitely doesn’t feel slow. Way different then MY stock Sentra. A car is a car and pushes regardless. At the end this economical car is a regular passenger sedan for daily drive and reliability. If you want sleeper status, buy an Infiniti.
Dude you need a Mustang or Camaro or a VET or anything but a 2022 Nissan Sentra. I get great gas mileage I now have 7390 miles on it and it drives great no issues what so ever. YOU NEED TO GET A CAR THAT FITS YOU! AND YOU LIFE STYLE! Good luck finding 1 these days maybe a year wait lol.
I have a 21 Sentra Sr and I actually thought the screen was good. Better than all the Kia’s I’ve been in (I’ve been in literally every Kia) and definitely better than Toyotas
I bought it, 25k miles after I have no complains. Fuel economy is actually good if you don’t punch it!!!! It’s a fucking small family car, is not a sports car!!!! Drive it normal, you can go 70 MPH without going over 1800 RPM!!! I get 41 MPG highway, 30 city 35 ish AVG!!!! Drive it like a civilized person, do your regular maintenance I do mine every 5k miles, and Trans I just did the first at 20 K miles!! It is a good car, if you don’t like it, that’s you!!! It makes the perfect car to commute to work, College!!! Sounds system though!!!!!! They could’ve done so much better!! 4 speakers just doesn’t do it for me. I don’t know about the premium package, they have the Bose system but mine is the regular SR trim!!! 4 fucking speakers and 2 twitters. SMH!
I love my 2020 sentra. I bought it used for 19k with only 80 miles on it. My best mpg in economy mode was 42.8. That's driving speed limit, coasting down hills in neutral, no idling for long period of times. Now this was in the summer. In Winter I'm getting 32 to 35 mpg. Display and bluetooth work great. Auto start works flawlessly. Interior feels like a more expensive car. Heater works great. I had a hyundai elantra for 7 years before this car. This drives better and is much quieter. CVT doesn't bother me. Remember this is an economy car, not a sports car.
Dude buys an economy car and expects a rocket ship. I have the SR 6spd and it’s great. Feels like a completely different car compared to the cvt; I let off the throttle so much when going for a rip with my buddy that has the cvt version. The cvt just cannot deliver the beastly 149 hp properly lol! Anyways, I also get 5.7 l/100 km, with a manual so somethings wrong with yours. The sensor up front does go batshit crazy during the winter but I’m not surprised lol!
This car can’t be that bad. Am considering getting one. I owned a Nissan versa hatchback 11 and I speed up with it and haven’t had any problems. Just the catalyst converter and tires and maintenance too. Staring strong at 191k miles I would use this car as a daily maybe accelerate at times do like a quick 0-60 since I have a heavy foot and like to go fast but I feel like the upgrade would be the same how I went from an iPhone 7plus to the 14 pro max
I would take this guy seriously. He "Fuck" everything on this car. I own 2021 Sentra SR myself and it runs and drives fine He probably beat on this car and expect it to move be like a rabbit. This is a economic car dude. I like mine Sentra.
Lol just bought one 2022 SR with the premium package so that I can fix my BMW 540i on my own. My work made me go back to the office so I didn't get chance to close the entire engine on time. Honestly I test drove it and obviously not a v8 but it performed decently. The engine was crying when I punched it but it will take me to work.
Any idle problem with it not starting at any point ? I have the 2024 and my car won’t start at 15000 miles 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️I haven’t got that car over 80mph literally
I'm 48, bought a '24 Sentra SR Premium 2 months ago coming from a 2016 Altima SR that had 134,000 miles, and she took great care of me when i took excellent care for her until she got totaled. What does age have to do with driving a Sentra? Any car with a CVT, no matter what car manufacturer, they aren't meant to be racing in. BTW, your comments about the CVT are irrelevant and false. Stop reliving 2007 through 2019 like the other masses you're part of hating. Nissan fixed and updated the CVT starting with the 2020s. Newer Nissan's with the CVT is even way better and more reliable. Sentra's are damn good cars. This review F'in sucks as many times as you used it.
Nissans good if you drive their not sport lines unlike sports cars. CVT are good under 3k RPM and the sport isn’t really for anything but accelerating on Highway if you need a merge or pass someone real quick. Generally though Sentra and Versa are reliable economy cars. Light on gas if you don’t idle, use cruise control, and keep RPM below 2k. Stock sound system isn’t bad. Interior is heavy plastic but again it’s an entry level car. Easy to finance or pay outright cash if you can. Want more sport or luxury go with a Z or Skyline. Otherwise it’s a commuter. Leave it at that😂
Buy a Nissan Sentra with a manual transmission instead, the 6 speed manual transmission rocks, although I believe is only available on México, Canada.... no wait every country except for the US, sorry for you guys but yeah Nissan Sentra SR with the 6 manual transmission is just awesome
I have a MANUAL '21 Sentra SR and it is one of the best cars i've driven. and easily the comfiest. Blows the Civic Si of the same Year out of the water.
Yeah I got the manual also. A 2022 bought during covid and it was MSRP when everything else was wait list or dealer inflated price since no one wants manuals now. I can get mileage comparable to my buddies TDI Jetta in eco mode and keeping the RPM low or it;s quite responsive if you run it higher in the revs but it gets full size truck mileage when I do.
The 24s are cheap as hell right now. Just got a loaded SV for $20443. Getting 42mpg driving 48 miles a day to work and back 50/50 rural roads and interstate. Love the little turd.
The title should read (warning don't buy if u want a camaro power feel) lol, this mans car looks like it's back in 2009 with all that weed and stuff it makes the car look like my grandma's corolla lol The car is great if you don't have a need for a sports car it's got a sports mode which gives it some git up n go but I have a 350 Z and obviously doesn't compare but for what it is 4 cyl 2L cvt transmission it works and looks fucking good! It's fancy af tbh but all in all if I compared it to my 350Z I'd say it sucks too because both cars are vastly different but I'd say the Z is great for what it is and the 2022 sentra sr premium is fucking amazing for what it is. Great cars 2 types of sporty imagine a stylish professional look sporty agressive look turns heads in the gun metal color.
I like everything else about your comment but that whole "your car looks like it's back in 2009" line was corny af... Hahaha you thought you had one😂 I gotta get on u for that. Weed wasnt legal in 2009 brother
Did you buy the car without driving or looking at it first? I couldn't imagine buying a car I hated, a pair of auga green Nikes maybe not a car. Perhaps you should trade it in or sell it? Or maybe it might run better if you cleaned it?
Not sure what this guy is dealing with here, but all his complaints are personal preference, not to mention all these issues he is having don't seem to jive with the majority of owners. I have one and I get great gas mileage.
One man's opinion...seen many of these on the road...test drove it...rides nice...I currently own an Audi A5...only reason I didn't buy it is because dealers are charging 5k over invoice...
Your conception about the cvt is wrong, my 2022 Sentra sr has now 86k miles and drives like new. The bluetooth suspension and some electrical components suck but it’s a decent car
Exactly. He's hating on CVT because it's mostly the Toyo and Honda owners all over the internet saying that, and has been for years, so he's listening and believing all that hearsay when issue were fixed going back to newer 2020 Nissans.
I bought the aftermarket K&N air filter for the engine and it feels more responsive. Had to drive it a few hundred miles before the engine warmed up to it, but yea its more responsive throttle wise. Also stay away from cheap costco gas. The car accepts it but I noticed it burns too quickly and somehow car feels slower on it.
I have the 2017 Sentra S. I'm a mobile auto detailer and it still looks showroom new in 2024. I would never show it to you in the condition of the car in this video, but then, it has never been in that condition. This guy needs me. Anyway, my CVT was replaced 3 days before the 5 year warranty expired. I went in for an oil change and the dealer said they would replace it and gave me an Altima to drive until it was finished. I did not ask them, they told me. The bill was $5209.95, but they only charged me 9.95 for the oil change; the transmission was free. You have 159 HP and complaining? Mine has 139 HP and will go 0-60 in about 3 months. I learned early on never to think about passing an 18 wheeler, and it is forbidden to pass anyone on a 2 lane road. It simply isn't capable of it. I get about 37 MPG. Not because I drive like an "old" guy (even though I am), but because I know the limitations of my car and stay within them. Pushing the gas harder gets you nowhere faster, it only burns more gas. The Sentra S is the bottom of the line (mine was $18,640), so I expect no more, but I no longer have a car payment and don't anticipate having one either. I paid it off in 54 months. I would rather have a Mercedes, but it has never failed me and it fits me. It has 65,000 miles on it and I haven't even had to replace the brakes yet. I had Nissan replaced the battery 6 years in for less than $200 and that's it. I've seen cars of it's model year that looked like shit, yet mine is not like those (or like the one in the video inside). I've seen people driving 20 and 30 year old cars, and mine will be one of those at some point, but will still be immaculate. I'm buying a motorcycle to keep the miles off of it and just drive it to the store and in the rain. Living with a forever car payment is like a ball and chain, unless of course your income is such that it doesn't matter. In which case, I wouldn't buy a Sentra, even as much as I love mine. This is my second Sentra, replacing a 2015 I had before it. It will however be the last. If I were to buy another car (which is unlikely), it would not have a CVT and would have at least 150 HP. Make no mistake, if that transmission had actually failed 1 day after the warranty period, I would be fit to be tied and would be pissed off. There are small things I would change, but overall I do love my car. I wish I didn't have to use a key to start it! LOL!
I have a 2017 Sentra SV with 51, 000 miles on it and so far no problems, try to keep up the maintenance schedule, yes it is sluggish but in sport mode it's alot better especially on the highway, sorry you are not happy with the " 22 you bought, maybe you should have done alittle more research on it before you got it, I think the newer ones are fine, just keep up with the maintenance and you shouldn't have any problems inspite of the CVT, it's a commuter car basically but for the price especially with the newer models you do get alot for the money...
So why did you purchase this car? Doesn't seem like you researched anything about it. If you hate CVT why did you buy a vehicle with CVT...? Like all the things you don't like about it are basic specs every consumer should know about their purchase. CVT doesn't shift-- its a cvt. And Sentras are known to just be get to work and basic commute cars. If you wanted something with more horsepower, you shouldn't by a compact. Weird review bro.
I drive a 2023 civic and I hate it because of the same reason CVT. This is possibly the worse purchase I made. I’ve always driven V6 cars so a combo of a cvt and 4 cylinder just doesn’t mix well. I’m selling my civic and hopefully buy a wrangler by the end of the year.
most points are because you are in a 20k economy car for people who dont care or use as a daily driver. lmao. what did you expect. im pretty sure fuel economy is an issue with you.
Had my 22 sentra s trim totaled and repaired, I got it to 30k miles, so far, a huge headache had a timing belt replaced under warranty at 20k and now it has some unknown mystery noise sounds like it's coming to an extremely slow stop after turning off diagnostic alone will cost $200 since it's salvaged even though the crash had nothing to do with the engine. Nissan has put me off gas cars now im done I'm getting a tesla no mystery noises every 10k miles.
Nissan recommends to read your CVT owners manual. It explains how to drive with their CVT transmission and a lot of problems people have from CVT, is because they don’t drive it right or keep up maintenance. And it’s called engine braking btw
lol 2 minutes in and all his complaints are personal preferences, CVT isn't bad enough it's an automatic Transmission unless you're getting manual they are all the same, The screen and Bluetooth are premium with multiple interfaces and ways to access touch or knob and 3-4 different ways to connect your car. I think you got the wrong car because this car drives like a high end premium véhicule shifting and safety features that are useful, the transmission is no problem so far it will last if used with love the ICC makes it even more comfortable to drive.
PS: the gas gives an estimation if you only travel 10km then honestly, I drive sports on high way and still get 6litre ANNND drive normal in city and can get under 10
My biggest complaint for my 2023 would be headlights… I would try to get better headlight bulbs if that would work… apart from that I know what I paid for…
Too bad, you did like your Sentra. I have a 2021 Sentra SR and it ran and drive fine when driving like a normal person. It's get great mpg Average 35 MPG Mix Hwy/City in 20 to 30 Degree Temperatures. I cannot complain...It has zero gravity seats and it very comfortable. Looks great and fuel efficient. 400 Miles average for a tank of gas.
Just so you are aware and I found this out in my 2005 malibu if you leave your car on idle and don't drive it... the mpg will actually decrease just sitting there in place or in drive while you hold down the brakes. Saw the mpg change in real time on the screen in my malibu in just mere 2-5 minutes sitting in drive thru. So if you idle a lot in a car... it will definitely make you have bad mpg. And that malibu definitely eats up more gas compared to this sentra. Hope the sentra doesn't give you any more problems I was thinking of getting a sentra myself browsing so when that malibu goes bye bye I could get something else
I'm with you, I regret buying a 2022 nissan sv. I just don't like the transmission, feels like a rubber band. Do you know if the 2022 sentra has a transmission oil cooler heat exchanger? It would give me a little piece of mind on tranny if it does in case it overheats. I just don't trust the cvt tranny. Thanks for the video.
They can like some other brands. It's very low center of gravity. FUN to drive as a everyday car. I never shovels snow. Cornering. The spark plugs and coil pack are on top of the engine. Decent milage. The Impreza is such a fun sedan to drive. Even better with a sport suspension. I had 253000. miles headers replaced at 100,000 the engine and transmission could've went for 400000 I think, the body would not last since it was a 2002 car, I started to get rust.
There is a class action law suit for certain models 2010 to 2015. I'm specifically referencing the base Impreza and WRX although their drive trains are the same in the fleet usually
These cars are ment to drive from a to b there mostly work cars and budget cars cause there cheap compared to other cars I got one and it’s not as bad as you say it is but that’s your opinion
My brake light just came on even know i have new brakes and full fluid. Did yours ever shut off? I have 2021 Sentra sv and have 76k only issue was the brake light this week
No i dtove it 1000 miles every week only issues i had were the ones i caused. I went over a dead buck in the road car had almost no damage besides the o2 sensor. Great reliablitly just underpowerd. I wasnt serious in this video vut the algorithm has a certain "audience" that cones across this video
I have a 2017 Nissan Sentra and I can’t wait to get rid of it. I’ll never get another Nissan. I think the Sentra looks nice but they quickly turn into a headache. I’m thinking of getting the new Toyota Corolla Cross SUV. I need something reliable for work and travel.
Why did you buy it? Did you buy it sight unseen? Before you buy a car you should test drive it. Literally everything you complained about can be seen after one test drive or read it in a consumer review. Sentra's have not changed for years. Sound like you want a muscle car ...just go buy one. That's like me buying a Chevy Cruze and expecting it to be an Chevy Impala. You bought a economy car.
Its cvt . Even honda has CVT. Drive like its not a sports car. Will last longer then every other car. Or buy bmw and it will last till 80000km . After that keep spending 1000$ on it for repair
This was just an awful rant with lots of curse words. I bought this car to commute from pa to new jersey. I put 35k miles on it since last march and i average 34.9 mpg. The car is an absolute dog but name another car with that size for that price point. A civic turbo is 5-6k more expensive. The car handles like a $22k car. If you knew the cvt was trash and still bought it thats your own fault.
Honestly idk how are you driving your driving it but for it to say your average mpg is 15 is crazy, I do speed from time to time depending on the road and never does mine drop bellow 25 mpg
I don’t think there’s a car in this world that’ll give good gas mileage while the pedals on the floor, maybe a prius? idk I guess a tesla techinally lol
i cant waste gas on this thing lol ive mostly drove sport cars. I just bought this 2022 sentra 3 months ago i have a little over 6000 miles on it. i can get my car fast AF lol i can at least push it to its limits if i want. its a great car all and all just a little feminate looking. i got it for economy because of the times. Of course i only had it for 3 months so i still need to see about the cvt i never had one before. my mpg i get about 40. and yeah you are comparing it to sports cars haha your not use to the eco cars. give it a chance 2000 miles is nothing. at 6k im still not use to it from driving an sti modded.
The cussing is ridiculous. Btw, in case you’re oblivious to the real world, EVERY main stream manufacturer has a CVT except Mazda. It’s a good car. I’ve yet to have a single problem.
😂😂😂 if read any of my responses to anything like this. I've said this video wasn't a serious video. But I love the fact it reached a serious audience. This is a great car I'll be making a new video when I have a new phone. Now get off your pedal stool about being oblivious to the real world I'll smack you in person. I'm not using my real voice in the video 😂
I had a Hyundai manual transmission a Kia manual transmission and a Nissan manual transmission and the Nissan does have a lack of power compared to the Kia and the Hyundai's that had a manual transmission... but the car does look good compared to a majority of the cars out there.. I like sedans and I think the Nissan sedans are good looking cars unlike these hideous crossovers that are grotesque looking
Homie bugging, I have a stock 2019 Sentra , from E with the gas light on, dead ass 16 miles to empty? I fill my car up on 89 $37 and I live in South Jersey! On a full tank, I get 300 miles till empty
Noted. But at the same time stop being a bitch. Crude review was the point. The audience that received this video is not what I thought it'd be. So I would actually talk normal when I redo it. my voice gestures and everything. That's not really how I sound🤷😂
