Decided I had to play this coz it looked hilarious and an absolute thing of beauty 😍 Came up against someone playing welder salamance vmax with zard vmax. Took 2 early prizes on dedenne with cramorant then one off an oranguru with cramorant. Finally hit porygon z and one of the best things I've ever seen happened... didn't have the stadium so didn't get to reflip. Full health zard vmax needed 6 heads out of 11... hit 10 out of 11 😂😂😂😍😍😍

I love any deck that makes use of glimwood tangle- I’m running one that has whimsicott, where you get two chances to shuffle the defending Pokémon and all cards attached into the deck. I gusted up a Salamence VMAX the opponent was building up, had three powerful colorless energy on it, shuffled it all back into deck and dude rage quit.

I got into the pokemon TCG (in the online form) as an adult, having only a bit of experience playing the Gameboy Game ages ago as a child. My favourite deck is a deck centered around Maractus and Whimsicott (despite literally not even knowing what those two pokemon were when I started playing the TCGO). There's sometimes so much salt, but man, have I pulled off some clutch wins. There was one match where the entire thing rested on the flip of a single coin. Heads, Whimsicott put his active pokemon back into his deck and he didn't have a benched pokemon to replace it, tails, he'd blast my whimsicott away with his bullshit OP double zetamax BX card or whatever the heck you kids are doing nowadays on the next turn and get his final prize card. The first time an opponent played a glimwood tangle was an eye opener. I made so much use of it, and I'm not even sure he used it once. The moment that game was over, I put glimwood tangle on my desired cards list, and specifically looked up the set it was in so I could focus my coins on buying booster packs of it.

This deck reminds me of the time i used to spam Jungle Exeggutor with Base set Electrode over on TCG ONE. I even tried using Exeggutor in the Rocket-on format with the Meganium card that double all grass energy in play, which wasn't as fun as the explosive electrode version, but was more better suited for the long game!

Maractus is one of my most favorite grass type cards. I was first introduced to it in the Rillaboom Theme Deck, where I used Eldegoss to help give Maractus a bunch of energy with Blessing of Fluff.

I mean in expanded you have Blissey from Lost Thunder. Its attack is three energies though, but that doesn't really matter since you're attaching so much more to it anyway. You get access to TAC, and Powerful Colorless

Wow, I haven't played the Pokemon card game since I was a kid, back then I was buying first edition sets and Team Rocket cards were the next big thing. I remember when Electabuzz was the meta best Pokemon to start a game with, I wonder what the game is like now? (110 hp basic pokemon with functionally infinite damage) ...so uh... how's that power creep been treating y'all?

Andrew you should try playing this fun deck I’ve been using with hitmonchan, lee & top. I call it dojo control. It’s got some pretty decent matchups and really requires some skill to play it. I’ve been grinding the versus ladder with it and I think I’m winning about 70% of my matches.

Hi Andrew, I am always looking forward to your videos and great deck ideas. What about adding Zangoose from Cosmic Eclipse as a finisher of the big vmax Pokemon after a hit from Maractus? You just need 180 from Maractus and Zangoose will finish it with 200 for just two colorless energies.

You could always attempt it with deluge and maybe silvally, I personally use those two with mewthree/blastoiseGX/greninjaGx you can play out the time against most decks

That was hilarious. But it would've been more avoidable if you'd went after the Eternatus VMAX without energy. It wouldn't have been crippling, but they might not have been able to move their Active Pokemon.

Super fun video, had me rolling. If you discard a Recycle when you attach an Aurora does the Recycle go back to your hand? Also, Zzzt could be relevant if you hit a Crobat for 20 and then clean it up off the bench with Cram.

You know an alternative to running so many energies is jungle totem venasaur, that's how i sweep with alolan exeggutor and maractus, venasaur doubles the value of grass energies.

Why did he gust the 1 energy free retreat eternatus V max and not the zero energy 3 retreat one is beyond my comprehension. Only reason is to try to one shot him, but luck rarely is a good choice as seen lol
