In this short video, I will describe steps to take to ensure your safety at the service station.
There has been a rash of robberies, assaults, and car jackings across the US at Gas Stations.
Over 99% of these could have been everted with Situational Awareness.

Had a gentlemen chime in on a podcast I did a couple of weeks ago...stating that....the knowledge had just saved his life.....that is why we do it....Greg

Excellent info. People get lost on their cellphones and can easily get caught in bad situations. It’s crazy that we live in America yet have to discuss safety procedures for getting gas. Crazy world. Prepare accordingly.

Recently noticed personal tendencies to work on, gas station is on the top of the list. I try not to get gas at night especially in an unfamiliar area. Head on a swivel vs on my phone. The phone definitely gets me sucked in on missing what’s going on around me

It's crazy to me how unaware people are to their surroundings.I'm always looking around when i'm at the gas station, and my gun is in my hand or on me.And it's unfortunate that it's like that ,but it's realty .

I always look around when I am at the gas station, with my dog in the passenger seat. But she is so afraid of people, they would probably just s h o o t her...and me. What is an old lady to do? No friends or family here, so always travel alone...

First, thank you for your input. Second, when you do have to purchase fuel, lock your doors...and assume a good position as discussed. Third, Keep your head up. If you have your head up and looking, you become a "hard" target..not soft. Criminals would rather prey on the meek. The will view you more as a threat to their operation vs an easy mark. If they see you as attentive, that may just be enough to have them go to the next...since numerous times, its all about speed.....getting in for the purse, etc...Remember, you car is locked...at least it should be...with your keys in hand, while you pump....you have a panic button there, as well on your key fob...which will attract attention QUICKLY.....hope this made sense.
