@@Listen2me400 Honestly. It's just another money grab gimmick. Hair will grow as long as it is well taken care of inside and out and the scalp with no major health issues imo.
Strange enough when I did the most with my hair it grew the most, I even relaxed in 2022 for 6 months I returned natural, I rarely wear protective styles, I comb my hair everyday, and Im almost 10" in a little less that 2 years
❤❤❤In my humble opinion, Tonya, is the real deal…G.O.A.T.♥️♥️♥️ You have helped me maintain moisture. Prepoo on my wash day. Moisturize and Protect every two days. For me,it is that technique is helping to maintain moisture. All the product in the world is pointless without the proper application. Thank you!
Moisturizing with hair lotions, grease and deep conditioning. Also, what I eat. I have noticed not all products work because of my hair type but when I find a product that does, I stock up on it. I don't like apple cider vinegar rinses It dries my hair and scalp. I have low porosity hair.
Regular deep conditioning. Leaving my hair alone for most of the week. Having a consistent moisturising routine. Recently started doing weekly scalp massages
I have low porosity, fine and low density hair,I’ve been on hair plateau at armpit length for about a year now. My last wash day I did ht Ayurvedic oil treatment and the protéine treatment and realised that’s what I needed. I will do it for the next months by December and see how my hair responds. I used to have so much breakage until the treatment.
I had some hair loss mainly due to stress and nutrient deficiencies. So I'm here watching with the Aphogee 2 step treatment on my hair and taking hair vitamins. Most of the stress has gone away. I developed a sensitive scalp in my 30s which I managed to get treated with my trichologists. I'm asking for a dermatology referral to see if I have CCCA. There's no cure for CCCA, but you can do things to manage it and slow down its progress. Most women under 60 want to keep all or most of their hair. I will rinse the 2 step out and put on my protein-free deep conditioner now! Great reminders to look after our hair and scalp! Always love your content!!
I color my hair every 4 months, so I can accurately track my actual growth from my roots (vs length retention). Scalp massages using Ayurvedic oils definitely increase my growth rate. I have seen a difference in the months I've done regular massages, vs. the months I have not, even when the rest of my routine remained the same!😊 Thank you for an amazing video, as always!❤
paying attention to my moisture cycle has helped me tremendously.... Tonya, may I ask what is difference between a light protein treatment and heavy protein treatment?
Hi Tonya. Would Henna be considered a protein treatment? and Could you please make a video, when you can, talking about Henna and its benefits for natural hair?
Doo Gro (shampoo, deep conditioners) and African oil moisturizer. DIY herbal oil mixture. Those are my must have. Haven't found another brand that give me the same results or similar results.
Hi Tanya. Thanks to you the things that helps my hair the most is the consistency of daily moisturizing my hair I hydrate with aloe vera juice and sometimes the Ossie moist like you suggested and follow with my avocado oil for my low porosity hair. I also want you to know I tried the coconut oil pre poo on my wash day and it was just like you said my hair was soft and manageable. Thanks again 👍🏻
Thanks again for another great video. Product: Nairobi Humecta-sil hands down. Great moisture and protein balanced conditioner. So softening and strengthening at the same time. So well formulated that i can use ot weekly and not have any issues with protein overload. Game changer product for me and my waist length hair. Would love for you to review it actually.
Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge. You have been my go-to for a while and I appreciate you! I have suffered significant hair loss over the past year, and have for the past several months, been taking zinc and pumpkin seed oil, incorporating natural hair growth oil in my weekly haircare routine, and mostly protective styling (buns, Goody clip styles, single braid). The makers of a very well-known multi-use leave-in conditioner I have been using for several years have, for some reason, decided to put propylene glyocol in its product now. The product now feels greasy, and the wonderful spearmint scent is now almost non-existent. I don't know whether I should continue to use it, even though I have two full bottles. As a trusted hair chemist, would you mind sharing your thoughts on whether the propylene glycol should be avoided? My hair is growing back (filling in), and the length is below BSL. I don't want to experience setbacks for lack of knowledge and proper care. Thank you again, and God bless you for being a blessing to all of us out here?
Would you please do a video on these bonding treatments. I've just starting seeing Shea Moisture and Palmers in stores. Please advise if these are effective or just not worth the money. Thanks!
Nothing bonds my hair like Olaplex. When I combine Olaplex and Aphogee and hair vitamins....My hair has nothing to trim!! Which to be honest was a shock for me when it happened because I suffer with genetic hair loss and weak hair! I always read the ingredients on products and most have exactly the same ingredients...except Aphogee, Olaplex and the hair vitamins. Aphogee has hydrolysed Keratin or Hydrolysed Collagen as the second ingredient which is rare to see in most products. Olaplex has its own patented secret ingredient. Hair vitamins tend to have Saw Palmetto, caffeine and 1000% of the RDA of Bitoin and about 200-400% of B complex vitamins and Selenium and Zinc. That's how they differ from most hair products and most multi-vitmains. Always read up on ingredients so you know exactly what you are putting on your hair and scalp so you know how it's going to react.
Hey, I know if it says keratin then it is protein but can you help me distinguish between lightweight protein and heavyweight protein products in the Amazon store. Can you give me your name one lightweight and and one heavyweight that you would recommend from your list. I have never knowingly used protein on my hair though I did purchase apogee but returned it after reading instructions because I think I needed a hooded dryer and something else Karma using things that I don't do to my hair. Thanks.
I went to see a trichologist clinic. They told me to put nothing on my scalp but Shampoo and a water-based scalp serum/mist/cream/gel. I shampoo weekly and steam my scalp with a plastic cap and hot towel for 20 minutes daily. I asked the trichologist about massage and they said that the steam acts as a massage. So I've been using no oils or butters or grease or conditioner on my scalp since 2019. It much much better. try this or please go and see a trichologist and/or a dermatologist. Dermatitis and inflammation of any kind on the scalp can make you lose your hair.
@@marleyhill34 thank you for this. I really believe this issue is why my hair isn’t growing as I feel it should. I for sure need to look into a trichologist. I noticed when I don’t apply anything other than shampoo or water to my scalp I don’t have itchy spots. Soon as I do though boom scalp itch so and want to dig a hole to my brain 🤣 and I love a good greased scalp.
@@laurendaniels7528 I have a vibrating comb type massager I use. Honestly I don’t clean it after each use which could contribute to the problem 🧐 thanks for your input.
You can add a few drops of essential oils to it, but outside of that, that's Batana in its pure form with all the amazing properties that come with it. :
Olaplex uses peptides, and peptides are related to proteins but are typically much shorter in length. So yes, ultimately they help to restore and strengthen the hair.
Olaplex is not a protein treatment and it will not replace a protein treatment. I use Olaplex every week as I have dyed and genetically weak hair. It does not replace my Aphogee 2 step that has hydrolysed collagen in it.
What treatment did your dermatologist and trichologist recommend that was non-invasive, non-prescription? I have to use a scalp mist and serum and steam my scalp with a plastic cap and hot towel daily This was recommended by my trichologists after they analysed my scalp. I have a dry sensitive scalp but will see a dermatologist to rule out CCCA.
