I dyed , then bleached then dyed my hair again and used two boxes 😮 I know and now my scalp is irritated and my hair when wet is a little elastic kinda starchy what do I do? What do I need? Protein or moisture?
My hair loves heat. I blow dry to stretch it and it retains moisture, breaks/tangles less and I get fewer single strand knots. My hair likes grease and I use varying herbal, petroleum free ones. It also likes to be pre-pooed, washed at least once a week, detangled, and deep conditioned.
I have a serious question, is it possible to make an effective protein treatment at home? I literally dont have money and have never seen a protein treatment being sold , even in pharmacies so i wonder if i can make some of my own
Castor oil, would be my 1 pick !! But currently I infuse my own oils !! Huh 🤔 I wouldn’t mind staring a hair oil business.. people ask if I sale them all the time .. or stop me and ask what I put in my hair!!
It's so refreshing to hear from someone on social media who actually knows what they're talking about, and their content is backed by science... not just another influencer saying whatever they need to say for sponsorships.

Take msm pills it’s made of sulfur and our hair is made of sulfur it makes it stronger so less breakage. Sleep w a silk scarf aaaaaaaand stop braiding your hair it reduces tensile strength
ALL the above. Starting with a water-based product like rose water or aloe vera juice, then oil or your favorite butter to seal in the moisture. My hair is high porosity so I use oil and butters.
I have a question. Do you use your liquid or cream leave in and then add your grease of choice? Is that how you recommend to do it? Thank you for sharing!!❤️❤️👍
All hair needs protein. In a video I watched if hers the other day, she said that you should do a protein treatment once a month or once every two months. Also, you should try using products that have silk protein if you want to use protein more frequently, because it doesn't dry your hair out like other kinds of protein, and it can actually help keep your hair moisturized. You can buy hydrolyzed silk protein or hydrolysate silk protein and add it to your haircare products. Hydrolysate silk is oil soluble, so you can mix it easily with oil or oil-based products. Hydrolyzed silk mixes better with water based products. If you use either of those instead of other proteins, you might not need to use the stronger treatments as often, if at all.
Waooo I can’t believe that I open my phone to find out about breakage on curly hair and like God send here it’s curly chemistry talking about exactly what I came looking for lol! 😂 perfect 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Right! I cant seem to get length. My ends get jacked and need a trim every 8 weeks. My hair stylist just told me the same thing "your hair is growing." I'm starting to think it's the bonnett even though it's satin. Just bought some silk fabric. Going to give that a try.
@@ardscholar8208 - I just started trying to trim every 8 weeks to prevent slipping up the shaft. So trying different things so the ends don't slip reducing the need for frequent trims. I don't use a lot of heat. Any other suggestions?
I stopped trying to use combs and brushes in my hair. I've been finger detangling for years and have retained so much length. I also don't straighten my hair and I wear very simple styles so I don't need my hair perfectly detangled. I stick to my bi-weekly wash and deep condition schedule, recycle my parts and keep my hair stretched with braids or twists.
