Thanks for that heads up! I was thinking about going ahead and getting my truck early. I have been saving funds and it will be 6 more months before I can PURCHASE a truck, not rent. So, after this video, I decided to wait the 6 more months! : )
Read this get a mentor, RU-vid bandits wrecking and crashes. Buy your truck cash people the people that’s doing well in this business owns there truck. Own on truck
@@mazimike88 You must be bored or trying to start a side discussion. My point is ownership gives you a total different perspective when you’re operating your brand new business. You make better decisions when choosing your loads/ dispatchers/ where you want to go/ what lanes and always have options with ownership. Hundreds of new guys renting/leasing and are running, running all over US making money in the short term so call double and triple their money! 6 months later they done or they’re posting videos saying gas is high the loads are trashed and showing the loads on RU-vid! The game is keeping your operation cost low Thats my point . You/Them are trying to out work your costs that’s not making money it’s wasting time. If you get lucky and find a truck @ 700 a week that’s 2800 a month (No miles added to this number) if you just owned the truck that 2800 would be cash before you moved the truck for the month. You didn’t have to triple or double your runs to pay for the truck you can double your cash flow because you own your truck. The numbers don’t lie that’s the point numbers don’t lie people do. Get mentorship from someone that has scaled their business and been operating for 5 years or more Not the new guy on RU-vid saying how much he’s making a week it’s interesting to watch but entertaining only not a true scope of a business model. Find a way to own your truck people so we are in business for the next 10 years or more / owning means buy it with monthly notes which be around $850 a month that’s my cost today and I only do final mile doing well because I bought my truck. Eventually I’m transferring to OTR with truck number 2. It great start to rent to get going but buy the truck once you personally realize you going to do this for real
I hate when beginners come bashing companies and/or content creators for them making dumb ass decisions like renting or leasing, especially from Ryder or Penske. Nobody is going to tell you EVERYTHING about the game because we all players ourselves. You have to make everyday a lesson and stop thinking you know everything and think more. Your problems were avoidable my guy.
So what do you recommend because I'm currently saving myself to start in the business. If both leasing AND renting are dumb then what other options are there?
@malik8708 your best off buying the best working truck you can find at the lowest price possible. The lower your overhead the more you profit, simple. Don't be lazy and do the math on everything before making decisions.
Sound to me like bruh ain’t do his research or dig in deep he just thought let me be a trucker. Like every other hustle u got people that succeed doing it than you got the ones who try and don’t make it. Don’t listen to this guy cuz he ain’t make it 💯. It’s plenty of people with drive and diff charisma that made it and got rich. Don’t be a him rs
Unfortunately, it sounds like YOU jumped out there without being prepared. You all have to stop placing the blame on everyone else. It's the same story with some of you guys. On top of that, who can take you seriously with the redundancy of yours "warning" with music playing and no real clear, concise explanation?? Good luck next time.
