Honestly the cheese tactic and then just surrendering instead of fighting to the end is just shameful. But great play on your lart. Pretty intense given the challenge facing agaist a cheese strat
That was extremely well played, and your commentary was right on the money. I wouldn't want to see that air heavy tactic be nerfed too hard, because it certainly made for an exciting game.
but here I see a big mistake in the deck of cards there is no real bomber with napalm and cluster bombs because if he had, the story would have been different and he had no artillery, no armor the deck is too oriented towards "air units" this set would be great in 10v10 where it can play as breakout support
Question, why is that army cheese? It seems like an Air Force army… in a modernized era military game. Is that cheese or theme? It feels like theme. If it was an artillery brigade opener or an mechanized infantry opener, what’s the difference?
Nice one. I haven't played Warno, just WG:RD, but is there not a heavy aa that would be the perfect counter to this, a NASAMS or similar? Or is htere some other reason not to bring out the good SAMs first?
@@vishmonster Yes, in Warno, unlike WG:RD, you build your battlegroup from a particular division, so you are limited to choosing the tools available in that division. Berlin Group is the only allied division that lacks any heavy AA, so it is quite possibly the worst matchup against the 11th Arm. Cav. air assault strategy. That was pretty much a masterclass in how to counter it (and not panic).
I’m so new to the game and I’ve seen it twice in my 3 ranked games, I won two of those but it’s because I’m paranoid and always bring AA instead of anti tank which is how I lost my third game (tank rush)
Feels kinda foked that AA isn't as deadly as aircraft, should be evenly matched unless the point difference is crazy (new to the game dunno jack about it but interdasted).
It seems like this game wants you to mix your AA. In WG one guy with a stinger could deny the entire air force. This gameplay just looks like him (sort of) ignoring your entire aa deck for the entire game... Seems like warno wants you to mix manpads, aa, and chain aa or something? Having stinger overkill was also really bad when he stacked jets. Do you think that's the way to go with decks now?
stingers are good for choppers and pads. I think hawks would have fixed it with the long range. Still extremely difficult to micro with sead planes. Just my take on it. Only level 17;p
IRL radar AA forced planes low, where MANPADS and SPAAGs cleaned them up, but in game altitude doesnt matter and ranges are compressed. A single KUB or Hawk should deny a 30-50km circle of airspace. They probably shouldnt even be on the map in tactical battles. The game's way of trying to make both useful by severely limiting the range of manpads requires a delicate balance. You still saw both back in WG but there ranges wernt compressed, so there was more room to differentiate.
Nice game, well played. Not a native speaker but isn't a helicopter an aircraft just like a plane? You call the planes aircraft and the helicopters helo's.
@@EmperorIcarus Will it automatically follow it to keep it in camera? Thanks for the reply, loved learning some tactics bc I would've not known how to counter such a ferocious airial focused assault
Honestly what arms did he really combine? Helos and Planes? So he combined aircraft with... more aircraft? No tanks, no arty, no real IFVs, no engis for CQC, almost no ATGM teams or vehicles.
Why is it so often and sad that disgustingly unbalanced builds are often "#1" ranked players? This is sick that you persevered. I wanna get into this game but if the state of balance of a 2 year old game is shaky.. ehhh
I don't even play the game and just seeing it is blatantly unbalanced and a blind spot of the deck building / battle group aspect. AA needs stronger options, not quite as strong as in WGRD but better than this.
