@@icaroson Yes; agree, the KEXP version of this song is a totally inferior effort. No judgement, though; any live performance is at risk to literally any problem. I'm just glad this WFUV version is beautiful, flawless, and inspiring.
you look at em and your oh okay just some peace on earth peeps doing their thang and then they woop some serious sense into you from first to last note
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Her signing is so beautiful and full of emotion and it goes so well with the ghostly music... amazing!
They have probably played this song a hundred times by time they recorded this. In the studio you record brand new stuff. Maybe played it 15-20 times in practice. Are better at something the 20th time or the 100th time?
Great! Warpaint was fantastic, but the vibe was a bit off due to the audience being a bit lame/stand-still. As a musician who's performed on stage, I am sure the audience impacted Warpaint's performance slightly. Happy I went, though, and I'll see them again!
Even if the last album is not perfect like the previous two, they are still able to demonstrate how consistent and fascinating is their music. The fragment from 2:16 to 2:46 gives me goosebumps...
I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece, though you can see their evolution of song writing. The bass/drums are super-tight. The voicing in the chorus is spot on, a payoff from relentless hours of improvising.
Maybe it's just cause I'm a straight dude, but this song sounds like one looooooong orgasm. The chorus of whispers and the vocals blending with a tempo that seems to take on a life of its own. I really like this song. :D
You wouldn't know it but you're really in your prime Is there a question not answered in your mind? Before you know the answer, you're running out of time There is an anchor, I'll put it in my heart You gotta do what's right for you, and do it from the start Even when they wonder, they wonder where you are You know what I want To know the secrets in your heart And now I keep it low There's just some things I don't need to know Don't go tonight Don't go tonight You oughta know it, but it happens all the time Is there a question? You treat it like a crime And in the walls you weaken and up the walls you climb Oh, why is it not all that it seems? You lock it up so easily I wanna believe all that you say to me Oh, you know what I want To rip it open and pull it out And we'll take it low There's just some things I don't need to know Don't go tonight Don't go tonight White out You want it, you wanted it out White out You want it, you want it all out White out You want it, you wanted it out White out Tonight Don't go tonight You're talking suddenly, though I'm transparent for you You like on my skin, always I skip If you're feeling, touch you I'm focused on the run I'm focused on the run But I feel like you wanted me to 🐇
