I love the look to the side of the stage at the end, as if to say, "Well, I pulled that off." Warren's ability to navigate between pure absurdity and pure beauty is/was astonishing and accounted for his brilliance. I want this one (this performance) played at my memorial when I pass.

Wow, this was amazing as a live performance. Normally live performances sound much worse than studio versions, but this was almost as good, shows true raw talent

Probably the only tune of Warren's I've heard where he's not "singing" it .. It's like he is just being 100% himself and talking to someone accompanied by music .. not sure how else to describe it .. Some would call that an "intimate" tune I guess ..

A friend sang this for me a few years ago, I let it slip away, until I heard a guy at a guitar store pickin it out last week. I tracked it down today. I'll be singing it from now on. The melody bears a strong resemblance to the traditional whaling song "Farewell to Tarwaithe" which is where Dylan got the melody for "the Times They are a-Changing." Folk process in action.

I'm very impressed by the pause before "alright" in the chorus. The pause means he's talking to God, in a way. Like - sometimes you have let us get stupid, so please not now - alright?

Hi Sir. I have a favor to ask; can you please upload this entire concert concert to RU-vid (if you have it). I believe that I was the first to upload this show to RU-vid many years ago, but about a month ago, I had a hard drive failure, and lost ALL of my Zevon material. I have posted MUCH Zevon content to RU-vid over the years under various screen names, including LeChuck Threepwood and Clark Ramirez. I have been able to redownload nearly everything I lost though, with the exception of this concert, and Rottweiler Blues live on the Sound FX music program. Anyway, if you can upload this full concert to RU-vid so that I can download it, that would be amazing. Thanks for your time and consideration my friend.

I'm sorry, I don't have this concert. I got this from someone else on RU-vid and edited it to get the appropriate start and stop points. I am so sorry about what happened to your hard drive. I really wish I could help out another Zevon fan, but I am at the mercy of others when it comes to videos. Best of luck in recreating your collection. - Cathy

Hi, sorry to bother you, I was wondering if you ever found the lost footage of this show? Have you tried asking people in groups on Facebook? Zevon's widow runs one called Warren Zevon's library. I may ask about it on there.
