It started off slow but the way it built up was epic

Interesting Mother Superior states the halo rejected her as she was “unworthy”. In fact it’s quite the opposite. Mother Superior too strong willed. Ariel looking for innocent and or naive halo bearer he can manipulate to do his bidding

You notice Vincent is the traitor when u see his tattoos glow while he carries Ava. Meaning that he, like Michael, has been communicating with Adriel through the divinium in his system...it was a nice reveal before the actual reveal.

The twists and turns in those last two episodes were insane!! Definitely left me wanting a Season 2.

Also what's going on with lilith...like every time she uses her power or something her hair turns grey as if shes getting old or something

I was hesitant at first cause I'm not a fan of teen dramas and tropes that follow. I really got invested once we dropped the crappy romance bit and that dude's character disappeared. Became a much better show. Hope we get a second season. Was just getting really good. Beatrice is best girl.

In each review ending I watch no one ever mentions Lilith. The fact that she came back from hell, said that the Halo shouldn’t enter the tomb, the fact she seems to have her possession of sorts going on and her hair turning white while fighting Adriel. On top of a few other weird things. Am I the only one who caught all of that?

I think Adriel was the devil that stole Lucifer’s Halo (the fallen Angel) to escape hell. So Tarasks were sent down to Earth to find the halo and bring back to hell. If my theory is correct- it links with the existence of the character Michael (the kid) whom in bible is the Arch angel whom is also Lucifer’s brother who leads god’s army in defeating satan. So the kid Michael could be the form of Arch angel Michael in a form of a human body- especially when Michael birth on earth was a miracle (her mother couldn’t give birth). So it could mean that at end when he ran into the portal, he could end up to where the fight is taking place and fight Adriel and become the real leader of the nuns. Just my theory. Thoughts?

So I binged the show and I can say that the show has potential, Less of Ava and more of the Sister Nuns, the ending still confused me

I liked Warrior Nun, only getting slowly into it, but then I didn't want to stop. I would love more seasons! I don't think the concept heaven & hell, angels & demons is the actual setup. It's just what the, well, human church incorporated it into because that's how they could wrap their head around it. I assume the demons and the horned monsters might not belong together. I really want to know what happened to the little boy. There are 2 things bugging me though: 1. Lilith: Of all names that nun is named Lilith what we usually associate with some kind of demon. Maybe a signal name for the future? 2. JC: His story arc is fulfilling at all. Way too open for me.

I really enjoyed watching the show but unfortunately season 1 is too short and a cliffhanger so I’m ansy to know what happens next. The plot is intriguing even though the show is a bit dark. I’m excited to watch season 2. All actors are great.

My theory - Adriel is a demon who stole the halo of an angel. The Tarasks are actually angels, but because they look so terrifying and stereotypically "evil", everyone things that they are bad. But in the Bible nearly every time an angel appears (I think everytime but once), the people are terrified of it. So the Tarasks are "foot solider" angels who are trying to recover their property. This is why the Tarask skeleton is in stone on the way to the tomb, either it was trying to keep Adriel there, or to destroy Adriel. But since Tarasks are angels, it makes sense that their skeletons would be made of Divinium. Overall, I found the show mostly enjoyable. The nuns were certainly the best part. The "grifter crew" was a complete waste of time, and the first 3 episodes could have been edited into one. The folks at ArcTech seem mildly interesting, but underdeveloped. Julian would have to be incredibly brilliant to invent this portal, but yet seems so unaware...maybe that is just the hubris that a tech genius would have, but for such a pivotal person in the plot she is too underdeveloped as a character. Same with Kristian.

I wonder if the fact that the guy she's flirting with is named JC means something...(Jesus Christ?) Or maybe I'm taking it too far

Alba Baptista looks like mix of Alicia Vikander + Ellen Page! Sister Lilith looks like Elodie Yung (Elektra from Daredevil), especially in the last episode with long hair and blood on her face! Classic Elektra lol Sister Beatrice looks like Colleen from Iron Fist! Seriously! What the hell???

They better give it another season!🙏🏽 They spoke Italian (so refreshing to hear it spoken) and BEATRICE is so attractive. Every scene stole my attention. That actress completely nailed that role (all the girls did)!!!

What about Lilith's hair turned to ash when Adriel kicked her...?

My theory: Red demons are Adriels race, the demon looking monsters that look like Satan, tarask, are protectors and they want the halo back. The tarask have divinium Skeletal structures, which is the original source of the metal, so adriel having armor made of his own race is unlikely. More likely to be armor made from his enemies that makes him stronger. The red demons never went after the halo and only sought destruction while the tarask only wanted to get the halo back. Also, the little kid is a mini tarask. He wanted to go to his home. He had divinium in his bones. The tarask stuck in the wall wasn't mentioned in your video, but I think it was a key part of the puzzle. Not sure why the kid was connected to Adriel. Unless he was manipulating the kid who has a bigger role of being able to defeat the red demons because of his tarask human hybrid. Also, the mom mentioned his angel was a girl I'm pretty sure. The drawings meant something more, but not sure what. The father Vincent reveal boggled my mind though.

Divinium being demon bones was a nice twist...but Adriel looked suspect from the beginning, so him being bad was expected.

I would like to see Beatrice and Ava's relationship grow in season 2. It hit me and I can't get out of the rabbit hole.

WHAT IF LILITH IS Ariela the girl from back in the day that took the halo from Adriel because she’s getting older and older!!!

What I liked about the ending was that the rest of the episodes made you think it was going the route of the Chosen One trope, but then spun it around on you, and reveal no one was actually chosen. What's hilarious was that many reviewers hated the show because they thought Ava was headed toward the Chosen One trope.

Loved the twists at the end, figured Adriel was a thief from the way he was revealed, using the halo as a chakram. I do think the way they ended it was rather anticlimactic though. Definitely needs a season 2 to tie up the loose ends.

What I find most interesting is that we seem to have only seen things related to hell. Maybe young Michael's storyline is actually related to "Heaven." And I took that scene in the office to mean that Michael's drawings are how the Arc was built. Could he be being told how to create a portal to "Heaven?" I found this show strangely entertaining and I binged it hard. I'm really looking forward to season 2....if the damn 'roni lets it get filmed.

First half was “meh” for me, but it definitely got a lot better in the second half. I also didn’t care for the main character the majority of the season. Instead, I was more intrigued by the other sisters and side characters. If there is a second season, I hope they focus more on the nuns and their dynamic with one another.

@austin burke So I just binged the frisy season and got instantly hooked. The thing that's bugging me is with Lilith, what's hoing on with her?? That's the explanation I was looking for. When she was fighting Adriel her hair kept getting grey. Maybe it's explained in the comics but I literally just stumbled on the series so can you please explain?

I made some pretty accurate predictions from the first couple of episodes. I knew Vincent was the “real” bad guy almost as soon as he came on screen lol. He had me second guessing myself a few times but eventually proved me right. I knew the Sister from the orphanage killed Ava, just thought it was with a pillow. I knew Duretti was just a misdirect, a huge asshole for sure but not the actual villian. I did get a few things wrong tho. I thought for sure JC was gonna die and that the scientist lady was gonna be a villian alongside Vincent. And I didn’t see the Adriel reveal coming at all and my interpretation of him was that he was a fallen angel and not necessarily an actual devil

Just for record The time when Vincent started caring for her while mother mum was being rude to her I felt something's not right and most certainly he's not the good for sure atleast, because being so nice is too good to be true.

Ok, So is Ava just a doppelganger, reincarnation or a descendant of the first warrior nun, because if she was a descendant it would explain why the Halo bonded with her seeing as how the Halo is temperamental and some other nuns are rejected by the Halo when they try to bond with it.

I was royally pissed off and shocked when the ending came🤯🤬

I guess, Fr. Vincent is immortal and changes his physical form for centuries to stay intact to OCS "Order of Cruciform Sword" until such time he has control over the HALO bearer to execute his plan to uncage his master "Adriel". Fr. Vincent has changes the scripture explaining the origin of HALO and of OCS "Order of Cruciform Sword". Shannon realized Fr. Vincent plans so He put them on mission leading to Shannon Death which Shotgun Marry believed to be a murder. As you can see on the episode one when Shannon give Mary an amulet or sort-of rosary, I guess it is a tracking device from Fr. Vincent to keep track of the Warrior Nun. Shannon last word "Do not trust anyone" and he is referring to Fr. Vincent. Fr. Vincent doesn't want to pass the HALO to the next inline nun "Lileth" because he won't be able to take control over her because Lileth is well trained to be the next bearer and is dedicated to serve OCS due to its family legacy 6 halo bearer. That fr. Vincent knew for century that Lileth bloodline is commited to OCS and HALO to serve goodness. So he plans to murder shannon and get the Halo unfortunately HALO was passed to its new Host Ava. Which father vincent has capability to manipulate the new bearer to take his plan because Ava is Fragile. Everything is planned I guess. I hope there is season 2 explaining where the HALO really comes from. Because adriel is not an anghel and has no power to control over HALO. So I'm guessing Halo comes from Anghel who happens to be unfold on next season. What do you think?

Bruh the cliffhanger was kinda expected when they left the trader's identity hidden to the last episode. Not gonna lie but it was obvious who it was and the twist was not surprising 🧐 a very worthy show to Binge watch though

watch eps 1, 2, skip 3 to 6, and start back at 7. You don't lose anything at all.

I think we should drop words like heaven and hell, that is what this episode is trying to make clear that what we call heaven and hell is something else beyong our understanding. We only use human concepts to be able to understand them. So I hope we get a season 2 and we find out what really lies on the other side and what is the real story of the halo.

I watched the entire thing thinking Alba was a more beautiful, Portuguese version of Ellen Page. the way she talks and acts is so similar.

I got hooked on this show and can't wait for season 2. Plus, the twists in the characters is fascinating.

A lot of loose threads. The middle episodes were background and slow. The last 3 episodes speeded up a bit. The Father Vincent exposure had no hints or info that he was behind the task of getting to Adriel's tomb. The idea 9f going to the tomb to destroy his bones came from a dream Ava had about Shannon. So that doesn't make sense. So does the Cardinal suspect Vincent is up to no good and that's why he brought in the replacements? What happened to the kid and why couldn't Jillian go with him. Very scattered plot. Hope there's a season two, though.

How I understood the flashbacks to Adriels coming, he didn't originally mean to save Ariella (Arialla?), since he didn't even know her name, but used her as a means to an end to hide the halo and get the tarasks off his trail (because the portals all closed after he put the halo into her back, so they apparently could not track him anymore). Also, saving the woman that was obviously important to the armed men standing around would also secure him their loyalty and he could use them to keep the demons at bay. Afterwards, he crafted the sword and shield from the bones of the tarask that he killed, otherwise known as divinium, because these weapons can be used to kill other demons that might pick up his trail and then eventually take back the halo. So what he did he did for purely selfish reasons to save himself and just didn't count on Ariella turning on him and getting imprisoned. As foe his identity, I guess that he's some high level demon, because he can influence humans and rage demons, so he can't be one of the really low ones. My guess is that, as Lillith indicated, he stole the halo, either from someone who is higher up than him (high enough to be able to command tarasks) or from big guy Lucifer himself.

I loved it. I like the messages. Now I need to know what happened to Michael... Archangel?

I was about to give up but then in the middle it got interesting. The progression was awesomely done. Much more on the ending part. It’s making me crave for the next season.

I kind of guessed that Adriel was evil because in Neil Gaiman's book Neverwhere, an angel is living underneath London in what you think is his home but is actually a prison. Because he's evil.

The halo It’s not from hell, what I got was that there is no hell or heaven, there is just one big realm where you can be either god or bad. This is just what I understood.

If you take a look at Ava's eyes when she touches Adriel's hand, it turned white. On the other hand, when Adriel is summoning the wraith demons, it turned black. Maybe this could hint us that the halo is a weapon of some sort belongs to whatever being that is a totally different from Adriel's

I absolutely loved this show. All season was amazing. The cliff hanger at the end had me begging for a season 2!! Ending of season 1 was easy to understand.

Me : Adriel, you already have the power in you, why do you want the halo so bad? Adriel : my child. . .

It says at the end of the last episode that there will be a season two.........

Can I point out that Adriel is melting down the tarask he killed to make his divinium items. You see this after Areala (who at the time looks like Ava) awakens after being given the Halo

the show was definitely started in a very slow way but it eventually picked up off after episode 5-6 ish i would say, and then the show got progressively better from there. i highly reccomend that ppl watch this show. one of the best netflix originals that has come out since the OG ones we all love and know

I dont know if the Halo is a weapon from hell. Ava called Adriel a thief, so maybe he stole the halo from an actual angel. Cause in the flashback we saw him holding the halo, but we never saw him wearing it. I also think the "angel" that was talking to the kid wasn't Adrial, but Ariela.

I want more, I really do, the start of the show was fairly slow and I enjoyed how the plot built up, but overall if you haven’t watched this already and you’re here for spoilers, I don’t really need to tell you too much because most of it was explained here, but I’d definitely recommend watching this show.

Warrior Nun is one of Netflix best shows. Growing up and going from kindergarten thru high school in Catholic schools really hit home for me. Can’t wait for Season 2. I’ve already called Netflix and told them so. Everyone I tell has watched and loved thus series.

Did anyone else realize that Lilith or whatever her name was literally told them to not open the tomb, and she was right. We thought she was evil, but really she wasn’t if we thing about it.

I liked it. i also liked that it's a continuation of the comic and not a retread of the stories (well, with Ava being a new character and all). Can't wait for the season 2.

I think the Tarasks are guardians of items like the halo that Adriel stole and that's why they follow him and the halo. Edit: I hope they give a good explenation of the realms and the creatures living in them in season 2 but we can only hope.

Loved the season a bit slow early on but gathered well, and the different universe angle was awesome. I don't believe they are angels or demons they are from a different realm or universe.

So to answer your question on why Adriel wanted to save Areala. I don't think he intended to save her but I think his true intent was the ward off the Tarasks hunting him. Remember in the season they said that putting the halo in human flesh will dampen the effect of the halo and make it harder to track. When he placed the halo in Areala, yah it revived her but it also closed those portals that were forming in the castle.
