Whats up everyone! First up we have Ryu! One of my favorite action game characters of all time. In this game Ryu got super buffed compared to any of his other musou game entries. His hitboxes on his charge attacks are extremely generous, and he has very little recovery time on most of his attacks as well allowing for easy chaining of his moveset without needing cancels and such.
ST is a launcher into the classic izuna drop. Due to the aoe shockwave of the izuna drop, this is genuinely one of the best launchers in the game for damage and crowd control.
SST is a string stun attack with a generous hit box. If used while the enemy is already being juggled it causes a forward launching effect, easily followed up with a treasure or something like jump charge.
SSST is one of his best damage tools. An amazing combo finisher and crowd control.
SSSST is an amazing combo extender due to its quick animation and short recovery time. You can transition into any option afterwards easily as it leaves the enemies directly in front of you.
The full square string is really fast with great foward momentum making it exceptionally good for 1v1 damage, especially if you have damage modifiers on your normal attacks.
T string is a strong hard hitting crowd control tool that launches enemies
Jump S is a quick circle slash that stops all momentum for quickly returning to the crowd for juggles. Lacks forward hitbox though. Jump T is a really strong dive attack that has great range and easy to follow up afterwards with pretty much anything.
Unique Magic is a great crowd control move into the Izuna drop for added hurt. This move is really cool, but not as good as some other unique magic due to relying on the izuna drop to maximize damage which can be tricky to space.
Overall Ryu is generously strong with amazing speed and hitboxes. He can get the job done like you would expect of a master ninja.
