Kevin Durant rumors are heating up after the latest report reveals Kevin Durant is not happy in Phoenix. So you not trying to win another title with Steph and the “future” is more important ? Don’t you see the direction the league has headed in? Our young guys won’t be able to compete with the best teams..a future of JK, Moody, Podz, TJD and role players won’t be enough to compete especially if we end up getting a new coach…might as well take our chances trying to win another title cuz either way, we will be rebuilding once Steph retires…

@@oliverhalsmanrosenberg6617 the thing you gotta remember is how 48 mins are played when Steph, KD, Klay , Dray, Looney are on the same team…as long as they can close games together , they’ll always be contenders cuz Steph and KD are constantly demoralizing and exhausting opponents due to Looney and Dray grabbing so many offensive rebounds and giving Steph and KD multiple chances to score, then Klay becomes forgotten then when the ball comes to him it makes opponent’s say “ohh fck” then when he makes the 3, it drains opponents cuz they feel like “how tf are we gonna beat this” ..they all are still putting up the same numbers as they did when KD was on the warriors besides Klay, but with KD back, Klay’s numbers will automatically go up, much like they did when Poole was here..

This is the cheapest way to upgrade the roster… -Nets get: Chris Paul, 2028 1st round pick (GS) -Bulls get: Andrew Wiggins, 2030 2nd round pick (GS -Warriors get: Mikal Bridges, Nikola Vucevic This deal would shed $12.9M off the Warriors’ cap while it invests in the futures of the Nets & Bulls. The Nets in particular would set themselves up to make a splash in the 2025 free agency market.

@@calm_the_storm maybe not, but CP3 & Simmons on Brooklyn’s roster in 24-25 would give them at least 70M coming off their books ahead of a loaded free agency market. If they took on Looney’s contract as well, it’d clear nearly $80M in space by next summer. Luring free agents to the state of New York isn’t exactly the most unusual thing in the world, so GS could pitch it and sweeten the pot with extra draft capital. Wouldn’t hurt to ask, and it’s much more feasible than sacrificing your youth.

@@calm_the_storm Bridges is on a very favorable deal, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the Nets held firm to their word. However, after their Kyrie-Harden-KD experiment flamed out, they may not trust themselves much moving forward. In any case, this is the deal that GS should pitch before they thought about gutting their roster.

I think KD was not also happy playing for the warriors, because he wanted the fans to embrace him like some savior although, that year Goldenstate did need him but, in my opinion KD needed Goldenstate more that time to get his ring. Right now, with how the other teams are built in the NBA and how they are playing, Goldenstate will need a proper center and forward, to help them secure rebounds and stop taller and faster players, they will need taller and flexible players that can both be an offensive and defensive threat.

Kevin Durant's talented but returning to the Dubs might be too expensive. We would probably need to trade a bunch of players. He's not been happy with okc Warriors Ners now Suns. It's a dumb idea to bring back KD even though it'd be awesome to see, because a team hoping to cease paying luxury tax can't really afford to spend $107M+ on just two players, plus in the long term Kuminga is worth far more than KD is now. I think we need to keep all four rookies as the priority with Kuminga, Moody and TPJ all starting, re-sign Klay for $15-20M per season (or let him walk) to be 6th man, waive CP3, waive Looney unless we can't find a cheaper/better alternative and use whatever cap space we have to recruit role-playing free agents. We weren't that far away this season and if Kerr trusts and elevates the rookies, Draymond stays out of trouble and on the court, plus we add more bench strength then we can easily be even more competitive. Trades are fun to think about but unless another team actually wants one of our players then it makes more sense to keep them along with our rookies and future draft picks.

I can see this happening after the Olympics since Durant and Curry are playing together under Kerr again. So we'll see. I don't see it happening before then. We'll see. I personally dont think its a good idea mortgaging the future for it but that's what is going to take to bring Durant to the Bay. You do have to keep Dray for it to happen, his defense and basketball IQ is the one thing that makes that team work. (Good thing they get along now, see that podcast where Dray was interviewing KD.)

If GSW want KD, use a 3 team trade : GSW trades a draft pick ($5 million) + Draymond Green ($24 million) to Milwaukee Bucks 🦌 for Kris Middleton ($29 million). Then he, a draft pick + (a sign and trade of Klay Thompson OR Chris Paul) to the Phoenix Suns for KD ($44 million). Recall: Nurkic + Green fought each other. Thus, Green does not go to Phoenix.

Firstly thanks Allie for posting Warriors content so often. Secondly, I'd definitely want kd back, but there's two problems if we go KD route, one is if he will adjust to the team with Draymond on it, secondly we'd be truly fucked if we give up all our good wings (Wigs, jk and Moody) to get kd, this team would have no depth whatsoever and one injury could make them a lottery team lol. So I say hell no to bringing back kd.

Why get KD back? It was almost a DECADE ago when he was last here, and back then EVERYONE was much younger AND MUCH MORE in their primes. You want to sacrifice our future to trade for the biggest snowflake in the league? People act like it would guarantee more championships, despite the passing of substantial time, injuries, and the fact that the rest of the league has come a LONG way in terms of catching up. Thanks, but no thanks.
