Its been a while since I last uploaded a single video, but this one deserves its own spot on this channel.
Between the 17th and 20th of May, the Severn Valley Railway held its annual Diesel Gala in spectacular weather, along with an amazing display of various locomotives, both visiting and the usual inhabitants.
The "star of the show" was this particularly impressive performance on Saturday 19th, from Diesel Hydraulic D832 "Onslaught", just one of two such locomotives still in existence in Britain.
It departed Kidderminster at 12.15, at about the same time that a particular royal wedding was taking place in Windsor. The loco is seen decked out with 2 George Cross flags and the 1X01 head code (Royal train). The driver attempts to play the Wedding March upon departure and gave the loco a good thrashing too. It is hauling the fabulously restored ex LNER Teak coaches that the SVR own and operate on a daily basis.
Hope you like the videos that i have been uploading recently... I would appreciate it if you would leave a message to show that you enjoyed it... Thanks
