Just received these today. They are horrible. Can barely hear incoming call notifications including ringtone. Hearing enhancement only enhances static noise. Very uncomfortable. Didn’t take to the range because I sent a refund email to Axil 4 hours after receiving them. $40 value at best. I appreciate the concept, but the quality isn’t there. Way too much money for what you actually get. I never give reviews good or bad, but this was warranted. Don’t waste your time or money.

Did you find the right fit? If you have the wrong fit they are trash but once you fit them right they are 🤌🏽🤌🏽

The comfort was the least of the issues. The functional issues is why they are not worth it.

Well, you missed one - shoot at a range with overhead cover. I already know they will fail as my AXIL ear plugs fail in that situation. After about an hour I get a headache from the reflected sound. Oh, how do I know they fail? AXIL told me mine are better (5 years old) than what they make today. And shotgun is the easiest test.

I didn't like the axil 2.0s b/c they didn't fit my ear that well. So do you think these might fit the ear better than the 2.0s? It wasn't horrible but by the time I got them in the right position and they worked okay but one of them would leave a little open spot and anytime I would turn it back more, it would hurt my ear. And I thought that they would be the equivalent or better than ear muffs but it wasn't even close in my case.

My pair just arrived today, Axil had a Christmas in July sale with $120 off so I pulled the trigger. Comfortable so far and they work good for BT and calls but I need to get them out in the bush to test the sound enhancement feature and shoot with them on. I think on the next edition they should improve the battery life and make them a bit more compact otherwwise I like them better than the GS 2.0 I have now.

Unsure how much more compact you’d like them to be they are barely noticeable when shooting etc But I think you’ll find they perform very well!

Would you’d say they’re worth the $150 more than Walkers Silencer? Amazon reviews on them are very mixed.

Had the Caldwell shadows. Loved them, only downside was that they kept slipping out on runs. But trying out these axils.

I want these for upcoming dove hunting. Personally, I don’t want to listen to music while hunting, so I will NOT get the blue tooth version. I want to hear everything around me while hunting and music is just a distraction.

Thank you for a great review! I was recommended these by a friend, I’ve had tinnitus since 2011, now it’s unbearable, can’t stand the alone quiet times anymore! Never seen a doctor but have become desperate and thought I’d give these a go. Purchased them yesterday for $199 and added the 2 year warranty for $19.95.

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA Update, static noise never went away unless I turned the sound off, they’re very uncomfortable, feels like something bitting into my ears (tried small and medium foams) and hear allot of wind noise (almost deafening with sound on). Left ear Bluetooth stopped working and returning them within the 30 day guarantee. I’ll stick with Walkers

Pair I got, the right one doesn't work half the time and they want you to pay a deductible to return a defective product. I would not consider that a good product.

That depends… For what purpose? Hunting or just at the range? I personally love these over my GS extreme 2.0’s as they are an ear bud which is my preference but I would say either would be rock solid for just at the range now for hunting the xcor’s take the cake easy

can you hear a deers foot steps in wet leaves in the wind? thats probably asking a bit much. my biggest worry with ear pro while hunting is ill miss an opportnity

I wasn’t sure at first, didn’t appear to do what I wanted. I thought they were noise concealing, they’re sound suppressing. They do a great job at suppressing, I use my for shooting trap twice weekly, work awesome. I put them in as soon as I arrive, have normal conversations. Best ear pro I’ve ever used

Yes the whole point of them is suppressing the shot to safe decibel levels they don’t have active noice cancelling as they amplify your surroundings while suppressing the shot to protect your ears

That sounds like you didn’t have them fit right well to 2/3 reasons at least like any ear pro if it ain’t fit right it’s gonna yield a static noise essentially and hurt your ears both in fit and sound

My galaxy s23 has a setting to start music when it connects. When I'm driving home it's great when I'm at work in my work truck or my ear buds at work it's not so much. I was able to find and change the setting.

These are better than the tetras or isotunes I’ve used but it’s still there with heavier winds I’m unsure you could get rid of that issue with ear pro that amplifies your hearing though

I just bought these. I have one question. Do you have directional hearing? I have used walker game ear muffs a friend had and they amplified the sound but I had no idea where it was coming from.

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA you were correct, apex ninja 9.5 with a jellyhead .390 had 20 in the brain and neck bones at 40 yards and to the left and right good pattern. Federal 9’s did good at 30 not good at 40 and Remington 9’s at 30 was not too good.
