For targeted redaction it used to have spare rations recoil because it was a reskin so when it first came out it felt amazing to shoot. Then they changed it to 120 recoil and that nerfed it significantly imo.
That you two have such different oppinions in weapons only shows: We are all build different, and some things work for me better, then for you. But that's something CoolGuy always points out: Use what suits you best.
The main thing that yall disagree about is “staying in combat” perks and that’s because he breaks down the stats of said type of perks and realized it’s actually super easy to proc.
Love both you guys. You should try his Lethophobia crafted bow with disruption break and swap to HC. I did that with Thorn for a while and it was so fun. I hated myself the whole time.
When is the 1v1, when you pick a one of Cool Guy's favorites for him to use, and you equip what you think will be a good counter to his weapon. And then next round he picks one of your favorites for you to use, and he tries to counter.
One thing I’ve learned about Targeted Redaction and the seasonal weapon perk from that time (unsated hunger) is that it absolutely will dominate in havoc hardware. Unsated Hunger improves a weapon when you don’t have any ability energy. Since there’s no abilities in Havoc Hardware, Unsated Hunger is always proc’d.
Watch Fallout for the humor and bad takes about Sidearms, watch CoolGuy for the obscure tech, and watch TV for universal weapon reviews. I am joking, all 3 bring different perspectives and styles to the review game, and taking in all that info helps make you a better informed player.
@MrMightyZ ok but you would lose your mind and patience too testing pellet spread EVERY FUCKING PATCH lol. There was other stuff but he was the shotgun guy for a reason lol
Agree and creators used to do a lot more custom match 1 on 1s with each other and have little tournaments. Watching CG VS Cammy and Cammy VS TV etc etc is always a huge treat no matter who wins.
True, i have yet to really see anyone use sightline survey with precision instrument paired with bakris. It's a 180 with great stats and it's an ALWAYS 3 tap at 10 resil. It's better than ikelos bc you get the 3 tap off the bat and you don't have to fight for the first kill at a disadvantage. I would love to see a video of you trying it out. You've never steered me wrong with sidearm and other weapon recs, I hope you can get the opportunity to try it out
I'd like to point out that the Ikelos HC has an interaction no-one really gave a proper try. Focused Fury and its origin trait auto-reload. edit: preferably paired with like, triple-tap to really lean into that. So every 3rd precision hit refunds 1 ammo to the mag, breaking a guardian's shield refunds 6 into the mag, and landing 6 precision hits (kill or not, with a 4-head TTK) will let you 3 tap to the head for 12 seconds - an incredibly long timer. Basically, play around landing precision hits to build up focused fury, and go ham when you have it up.
Hey TV I’ve been subbed for years but watch maybe 3 videos of yours a year but man is this video concept creative as hell, look forward to more of your work!!!! ❤❤❤
Hey TV! Great video! So I was not a big fan of Scalar Potential when it came out but recently went back to it. The initial rolls I tried were keep away/focused fury and keep away/Headseeker. The gun didn't feel right at first and put it away. I came back to it and changed the fourth column perk to High Ground and been liking the gun more now. Thanks for the vid and your thoughts!
No way a max 15% damage at 3 stacks feels better than Headseeker on Scalar Potential, which is a rapid frame pulse with mid range & bad stability. This means that some non-precision shots are all but guaranteed, this is where Headseeker will help along with the mw stability.
When TV is talking about CG popping off and who he makes weapons look incredible, that’s exactly how I feel about TV when he reviews weapons lol. So, I find it hard to relate to either of their reviews in PvP, because I’m a casual and Crucible is their home. Just thought it was funny to hear that comment
I've had both in my lobbies multiple times. TV ran my lobbies every time, CoolGuy got bodied and ended up quitting. Coolguy probably spends 6 hours playing crucible to get 10 minutes of gameplay of him doing well
1. Targeted redaction had a 140 recoil pattern at the start. It felt great but Bungie meanwhile fixed the recoil so it doesn't feel as nice anymore. 2. You need to make use of the stat boost the origin perk gives you. With Targeted Redaction you need to spam abilities to activate Unsated Hunger. The stat boosts are nothing to laugh at: 20 stability, 60 handling, 60 reload but only while ALL abilities are on CD.
Totally agree on Crimils Dagger, Air Trigger is amazing on handcannons, but over Moving Target or Slideways? Come on...throw a backup mag on it with moving target or a targeting adjuster with slideways and it would wipe the floor with that extra reload speed in almost every scenario. (I focused only Crimils this past Iron Banner, got near 50 rolls, moving target adagio is a ton of fun, but if your doing 3v3, the god roll is Hammer Forge/Accurized/Slideways/Precision Instrument with a range masterwork)
This vid was great, maybe you could do another few where you highlight weapons you disagreed on with Cammy, Drewsky, Frost, Fallout, Aztecross, etc. Probably need to post just highlights of gameplay though because not many people will sit through a 20 min video.
Hey TV! I would definitely love some more entertainment style content from you! Your info vids are always good but I do feel that type of Destiny content is very oversaturated at this point. Your Elden Ring vid was awesome so just keep having fun whether its in Destiny or not :).
For me, Scalar Potential is one of those "weapon feel" situations for me. The weapon model is from Cold Denial which is one of my all-time favorite weapons in PvP. It's got great sound design and good enough perks for me for the most part. So I've really enjoyed using it over the last season. Great video as always!
Oh wow. Cold Denial was a High-Impact Frame (aka Messenger) but with a low range, a unique weapon. Bungie had the sense to give it Kill.Wind & Swashbuckler/Headseeker. Comparing Scalar Potential to Oversoul really shows how worse it is. Oversoul has the better stats where it counts (Stability, Aim Assist). Especially Stability is extremely important on pulses, especially rapid frames because you will have to go in compared to other pulses. Also it seems Scalar's god roll is neither TV's roll (Arrowhead/Accurized/Keep Away/Tricorn) nor Coolguy's roll (Extended/Accurized/keep away/F.Fury), instead its Arrowhead/Accurized/Keep Away/Headseeker (picked by the community on almost% of the rolls. This ofcourse as TV said, there are few good rolls on the weapon. However the main take feels that these players crafted their Keep Away/Headseeker on better stat weapons & they are searching for other unique rolls on Scalar Potential.
@@GeoGyf It's such a unique feeling high-impact pulse. I love it! The roll I happened to keep around and discover it's greatness later has Headseeker and Threat Detector. I would love one with something besides Threat Detector, but it still rules.
I didn’t like the scalar til I crafted it with stability masterwork. Like 40 range 60 stability 98 recoil direction. It has keep away so 50 range with that anyways and just feels 10 times better.
Imo cool guy and you both do reviews for very different reasons and I appreciate both equally. You Tv imo, tend to go more for brawling and kill chaining and cool guy seems to go for niche, how can we get the full potential of this weapon up and going. I appreciate both viewpoints. I tend to watch fizz and Benny a lot, because they play trials and 3s a lot so there viewpoint are more applicable to me as a heavy trials player. Anyway such a cool video.
I give some respect for Coolguy talking about some overlooked aspects on certain perks and weapons, but far often than not he goes a little too generous with heaping on praise for very arguably C+/middle of the road garbage. I also would love to live in whatever reality Coolguy lives in where he's constantly getting bot lobbies for PVP that allow you to run way far off gimmick meta stuff because I feel on the basis of Bungie's matchmaking, very rarely do I have a situation when I can just goof off that hard. Also I wish he would clarify his device input because he goes a little too sweeping on things that arguably play better on stick than they do mnk.
I've learned not to get hyped about what one reviewer says about a gun or roll, especially if they are on a different input device. Some weapons play horribly on one type of input, and good on the other.
Hi TV, what're your thoughts on the Seventh Seraph Officer Revolver? I have an old one with Threat Detector and Explosive Payload and it's my main PvP hand cannon. Not sure if I've ever seen anyone else use it.
I think if you get a good bottom dollar instead would be a better option but gambit. My roles from a few season ago are slide, high inpact reserves. Outlaw explosive on my other.
So I'm 2 for TV and 1 for CG and I'm a huge CoolGuy fan. I rarely disagree with him but I've got your back on the first 2 guns TV 💪only Lunas and NF were the king of 180's but broken.
its weird to be because for me oversoul edict just does not hit. No matter what I do, it just feels like I am fighting the gun to snag crits. It feels so weird to me so many people sing praises of the weapon but I just cannot like it no matter what I do even if it has great perks. Might be that both you and coolguy are controller and I'm mnk, but because of that scalar feels absolutely amazing to me
I run fluted on most guns. So does that mean mine are junk or it makes them feel better to my own liking. But why can't they put older perks on most newer crafted weapons?
Ikelos Nah? Not when i have a god teir Survivor's epitaph and in that same slot it can't compete with my crafted optative of my god roll Frontier's cry.
Younger guys also accuse movie and game critics of being right or wrong, too. Somewhere along the line the concept of critiquing or of opinions has been lost. Couldn’t your experience be true to you and CG’s be true to him?
if you're whining about air trigger and touting outlaw, then yeah you're a fool, but that doesn't make air trigger a magnificent perk XD Air Trigger *does* have a place, 'cause it's doing a great parallel impression to Field Prep, it is epic if you can get a crispy reload off a headshot kill, but if you're excited about how nice that reload feels, and you're going to take a dump on a weapon that has a *much faster* reload speed just for having your feet off the ground? It's the bit that TV and Coolguy align on. You *need* to align with the feel of the weapon you're using or it's not going to work out for you. There's a *lot* of wiggle room in perks if it makes you personally perform better. Most of us aren't Wallah, we're not going to to 15-1 most of our games, we need to find something that shakes out in the game mode we're playing. Redaction crushes, all the more so more our ability regen gets smashed, it's terrible if you have all your abilities up, but in modes where your ability regen is crushed and the origin trait gets a chance to shine? Ugh >_> It's nasty......no one wants to face an Igneous with better stats >_>
Idk what Scalar you’re using but you can get arrow head break, accurized rounds, keep away, head seeker and it melts. Obviously don’t know what you’re talking about.
