Ya I think we all are missing the friends we used to play with and how simple those times were. Lots of us were in high school with no other stress in the world besides ranking up in cs haha
@@Castri999 exactly man. Definitely could've spent those hours doing something productive but i still don't regret the hours spent playing CS and making friends
@@Castri999 I was more of a source player in highschool/middle school all my local lans only had CS source and CoD2 (yes I'm old) but still something about older csgo was less sweaty and just more fun to play with. Now even when I play a casual match it's just people sweating and getting mad at eachother. Or maybe that's just NA players idk.
yeah yeah better community. thats just a lie. it was the same or even worse. i bet you didnt even play when you could talk to enemies during switching sides. cs had always pretty basic community. some weirdos, racists, toxic normies, normal players, friendly players. like in every game. so stop coping
yep. Old nuke, train, and inferno were not as great comp maps as their new versions but it was a lot more fun doing dumb shit on them than the current iteration
Ironically, the most fan favorite video games are always the ones with the most busted, broken mechanics and items. We didn't care about wins or losses but rather having fun with people we don't even know. Nowadays, everything is taken so seriously and people are become more and more hostile with one another. It was hostile back then but now I think it is even worse.
You can't go wrong with the good old CSGO -- when it wasn't free 2 play, old weapon sounds, old models, old maps... The nostalgia is strong and before I forget, big props for the guys that made that project possible.
@@Blind_Hawk Ehh I disagree honestly it was only $15 anyways. Hackers are definitely gonna pay 15 bucks for alt accounts to cheat on it doesn't really change anything
This video reminded of so many memories when i was playing CS:GO during early 2013 up to 2018. All these old features of the game back in days it's how i remember playing it at the time, what it will be the old sound, the old map, old skin and texture, the trash talk in half time of the match and so on... It was always a joy after middle school or high school to boot up my computer launch CS:GO and start a competitive match with my friends talking on TeamSpeak. In some way i can of miss the old version of CS:GO we had during this period because it reminded me of so many vividly great memory of my youth and old friends i had which i sadly no longer talk to them and sort of lost contact after starting studying at University. Thank's Anomaly for this trip of nostalgia :)
Been playing CS since 2015 and I just found out about flashboosting today. Crazy. That being said, the only things from 2015 that should come back are the USP-S And M4A1-S sounds and the ability to VC with the enemy team before the match, during halftime and after the match.
Watching this makes me miss the old maps that were removed like italy, assault, aztec, and dust. Hits harder when you were playing with people as clueless as you are on map traversal.
Just because old cs was goofy it had a lot more players that played straight up to have fun and it had a lot of interesting stuff that could be used to play in some different than normal ways(mostly bugs) , nowdays cs became very competetive as well as its community.
@uv It used to be actual old CS before he bought it, now it's just a server with MIGI and plugins. He still has the source code for the original too, he just refuses to use it because of lack of anti cheat, even though the old devs were working on an anti cheat from what I heard when I was there. And when he bought it the private one got deleted and everything was eventually made public, ruining the "community" aspect of the whole thing.
I really dig the contrast and colours of old CSGO maps. It is so melancholic and grey. It is still present in some maps like Sugarcane, Office, Bank, Italy etc.
To be honest, D2 and Cache looked so much cleaner back then...noone needs those details on the maps 😅 But best map ever was 1.6 Nuke, when secret was on the left of garage and it took like 2 Minutes to get to B with one of the ways. 😂
Although i miss the old maps, old sounds due to nostalgia etc. I feel like the community nowadays is also way more "competitive", i remember in 2014 fucking around with randoms doing the dumbest stuff and it felt like previous CS games, nowadays every single mf i meet wants to be the "next S1mple" (might just be because i live in eastern europe so 90% of my matches consist of manchildren) doing "comp strats" only to bottom score
The old CS: GO sound that i really miss are the M4A1-S, USP-S, AWP, Deagle and AK-47. Especially AWP, it is sound "wild" that when enemy the one shot it, i was just like "Ok, time to run away."
OG gun sounds are super nostalgic, truly don't understand why we had to change those. At least give us the option to buy them back or something lol. Edit: Also, one thing you forgot to mention in this video - there's a guy spam dropping Novas at 12:15. You used to be able to use your entire $16k to buy glocks, you'd have everybody drop it in a single stack and then you'd grenade it to crash servers.
About the flashboosting thing, there is a gamemode called "trikz" that combines flash boosting and surfing. I never played it, but it looks very fun and also hard
new csgo got too competitive and lost the fun factor. I actually couldn't really find any differences between this and the new game, only major differences are the flash boost and the community.
