I may not have followed basketball, but I must say, Nick you always have a way of making your subjects compelling even if it's not an athlete I'm familiar with. In terms of suggestions, I'd be curious to see you tackle the UFC inigma that is John Jones. Should he celebrated, condemned or is his legacy somewhere in between?

@@serialmiller1987 At some point, I'd be curious to test out a UFC/combat sports video. And what better way than a controversial figure? Thanks for your suggestion, and glad you enjoyed the video!!

Yea he deserve to be in the hall of fame. Gilbert use to shoot logo 3s and he was the only player shooting logo 3s at that time..

I love that mentioning to Gilbert Arenas’ character and how much he really gave to the community. That’s what it means to never forget where you came from and for that he will always be a personal favorite of mine.

His compassion to Andre McAllister was very touching. Another great story I read was about how he'd routinely buy lottery tickets from the same shop, but one time, he needed to fill up his car to get there. A homeless guy at the gas station had asked him for change, but then he told Gil to keep his $10 change and come back with $20 - because he knew Gilbert would win the lottery. Turns out, Gil won $309k and went back to the station. Of course, he gave more than just $20, but you get the sense the homeless man was so happy just because Arenas was compassionate enough to go back to him. You can check it out here: www.sportingnews.com/au/usa/news/gilbert-arenas-explains-how-homeless-man-helped-win-lottery/1d93tc5i9nk2118mydr0xmduj6

If he could have stayed healthy i honestly think he would have won a ring but also if he matured a bit he would be in the league right now as a coach or gm

He was a good and pretty clutch but supremely overated just like other guys in the history of the nba who were known for scoring kobe,tmac,vince,ai,carmelo(althought not anymore for melo) and he was liability to his team and a hypocrite right now who justs goes on bs for clicks.

Lol Ja probably wouldn't be far off - although he's a better shooter. I've seen more of a comparison to Harden, especially with Arenas' ability to get to the line. Thanks for watching :)

Not a fan of the NBA but Arenas sounds like a fine young man who gave a lot to the community. It's a shame a few minor and one bad mistake seemingly led to his downfall. Have no knowledge if he should be in the HoF.

Gil was a god in his prime but don't think that the Wizards would have won a chip. Boston, Cavs and Orlando were a problem.

Dude you mentioned the Washington Redskins, that's in Washington state on the other side of the country. Same name, different place than Washington DC where the wizards are. Great thoughts on Gilbert just make sure you dot your I's and cross your T's.

Glad you enjoyed the video! Not sure if I'm understanding correctly, but the Commanders franchise have been in the greater DC area since 1937. They were in DC proper from '37 to '96, and then since then they've played in Landover, Maryland.

I think the wizards would have done much better had Arenas never had that injury maybe could have won a championship 👍👍

The only problem with Arenas is that he brought guns in DC. If this was a place like Texas that respects our 2nd Amendment rights it wouldn't have been much of a story. The league would treat it like the Ja Morant thing. He'll be back and he's still a superstar. Barring injury of course
@justinholland6132
@justinholland6132 11 месяцев назад
You are one of the reasons public shooting massacres happen, you enable it just because you don’t want “the government to take our guns” but Gilbert had no real good reason to bring a gun anyway(plus was he even a registered gun owner?) especially to use it to threaten a teammate
