I home schooled my sister from 6 to 7th grades. I didn't have the right curriculum, so I ended up using all of my high school books. Long story short , I find out she was expressly smart..memorized 3 whole chapters word for word and taught herself Spanish. Homeschooling can be a bit complicated, but once you develop a system, the child ends up loving it. We had school till Saturday and she loved the lessons. I guess I was a fun teacher 😊

As a homeschool mom, I always reward my kids at the end of the week when they get everything done! It’s tough so we gotta do what we gotta do!

I use to always reward my kids for doing things at first it was perfect..but my husband told me to stop because they need to realize they are not always going to be rewarded.. and he was right..my kids didn't want to do anything without being rewarded it was so hard

Homeschooling is fine but rewarding them to do their homework is odd. Homework is required. It has to be done anyways so why reward them for doing it when they need to do it regardless

I teach elementary and they tell us not to do those type of punishments that exclude them, that’s why they stress and can build up resentment. 🤷‍♀️

She would benefit being around kids her age and learning in a school my son is 6 months younger then p and in the 2nd grade I want to homeschool but I don’t want to be selfish because of my fears and let him have a normal childhood you should do the same and see how much happier your kids will be 😢just my thoughts socializing in little kids and knowing at there age how too is important and family doesn’t count

They are still socialized, you have to make it happen. When you homeschool they socialize with you which is great because you are teaching them proper behavior in general. When you put them in activities they socialize, when you go places they socialize. School isn’t supposed to be for socializing it’s for learning. Not to mention you can vacation whenever you want, and up and leave whenever you feel like. My 3 kids also socialize with each other which is the best ever!

She is in school! I homeschool all 3 of my kids. My 15 yr old is getting ready to start college. Homeschooling is far better for kids.

@@jrn3342 and that’s great for your case. All I’m saying is being in school and being smart you have the opportunities to get pulled in by high accredited schools, free tuition, scholarships etc. I’m not saying these opportunities are impossible for homeschooled kids but they are limited , you have a higher chance being noticed going to an actual school.
