In this video, I am riding from Foumban, to Melong, in Cameroon. Around Melong, I visit the gorgeous Ekom falls, and ride up to Man And Woman lake, on top of a volcano. But the rain keeps on making the journey very hard, and this day is no exception...

Noraly, no wonder you gather so much good karma as you travel - you're the only rider I know who says "please" and "thank you" when passing a herd of cows. Very kind indeed.

It's funny most of the time. The richer the people are the less inclined to help others. These people who have next to nothing. Are all ways there if they can help out. And money isn't the motive. Yes it's appreciated. But that's not the reason. It's love for people and to help each other. It's sad to say a lot of us have forgotten how to live. We have moved on to the me, me, attitude and stuff any body else! And Itchy boots has shown us there is still nice people around! Respect is the word for this! Love all your photos and what a life! We are all the way with you.every steep! Every hill, every water crossing. I have never seen another program like this or even close to it. What A adventure. And what a love of people and cultures, and of the weather! Thank you! Itchy boots.

Hi Noraly thanks for making me see my village Bangem on RU-vid, it would have been great if you went to the lake with a villager who would have explained more about the lakes, The Twin Lakes of Muanenguba are a pair of crater lakes on Mount Muanenguba located in Bangem, Kupe Muanenguba subdivision in the South West Region of Cameroon is a twin lake which is a male and female lake, lake Muanenguba is very popular, I think the title of this video would have been something like "Female and Male Twin Lakes of Muanenguba, Cameroon"

Africans born and raised in rural areas are trained to help and support each other. That’s why when we grow up and get an opportunity to travel to the western world for greener pastures, they try to manipulate our belief in humanity to pay or us low pay checks and when we retaliate because we are educated, they consider us stubborn, oh my sweet home Africa 🤦🏽

@@joedonner9476so the thing is when you’re born there, you don’t really have much to compare against cuz it’s your “new normal” you don’t really get to think you’re poor cuz those around you live in very similar circumstances so that’s the life you know. We cultivate our own food so we rarely go hungry and that to us is wealth. Only when you step out of the rural areas and go into the cities and interact with others that you kinda feel poor but we’re always contented cuz we know some people don’t even have food to eat but we do and it makes you want to work hard to do better for your family

But I guess you're one of the richest people on Earth - because you're so open minded, so helpful and as I looked like on the people (not sure about the rural area) you guys are still happy and still smiling and having fun. Even if you don't live on the highest living standard, but you're still helping out each other and even foreigners. I think this is what is totally missing from the 'western' world...but you can compare it now as you're living in the States now - so what do you think?

Two books by naturalist and author Gerald Durrell, published long, long ago in the 1950's, tell of his collecting trip to what was then British Cameroon. Those books are the single reason why today I am a biologist, with many, many years of work and research in Africa. In those days, far behind me now, I was also a motorcyclist, criss-crossing mainly East, North East and Southern Africa on an old Yamaha XT500 and later an early BMW R80GS. Thanks, Noraly, for sharing your remarkable rides and bringing back such wonderful memories.

I don't know how you can travel to all these fantastic places alone, when I'm alone and see something amazing I'm always sorry that I don't have anyone to share it with. I know you share it with everyone watching but still it's not the same as having someone to share it with and talk to about it. Thanks once again for taking me along.

The rain is a hindrance, but without the rain, there would not be spectacular waterfalls like the 5' mark. Nature & geology are awesome.

Hi Noraly, you're world famous by now. The 2 police guys who stopped you at the Nigerian border and asked for money were arrested and fired from their jobs. Please keep filming these types so that corruption can be brought to an end. Good job. And all the best and good luck for your trips around the globe in 2024. Liefs vanuit de provincie Utrecht

Yeah, i actually watched the clip where the two jokers were summarily fired for their greed. They gave Nigeria a bad look, in any case their 40 days arrived soon enough.

It feels more safe and people are so kind. That's the Cameroon I remember...a country where we were able to travel from north to south, from west to east and sleeping everywhere, without bothering about security. Cameroon is such a nice country, and I'm sure there much to discover. Welcome to Cameroon, the "African continent in One country", translated in french: "Afrique en miniature". Enjoy!!

Very pleased with these pictures, I'm getting homesick. My former place of work was B.C.H.S. Njinikejem. Best healthcare at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Mission Hospital, Njinikom, Cameroon with Dutch and German doctors (at that time). School and orphanage with kind children. I look forward to further reports from this region. In Cameroon you have the entire African continent in one country. For everyday problems and obstacles you say "Ashia". I wish you a safe journey in 2024.

Cameroonian viewer here in Johannesburg and these videos are making me nostalgic for home. I noticed when you were in Bangem (which is already in the English-speaking part of Cameroon), you kept greeting people in French, though they responded in English. Cameroon is like that. And by the way, the Ekom Nkam Falls were the site where the 1984 movie "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan" was filmed. EDIT: I love how at 15:45 the lake sort of looks like an African map 😂. Your video title gave me the impression that you were climbing Mount Cameroon, the tallest point in West Africa, but maybe another time.
