2 simple points: 1. Gen Kariappa was made the Army Chief and Bucher was removed just after 13 days of going to the UN. This implies that a. Gen Kariappa was definitely as good as Bucher. b. Gen Kariappa was definitely more Indian than Bucher. Therefore, Bucher could have been removed even before going to the UN and Gen Kariappa could have been made the Army Chief & his opinions would be more beneficial to India than Bucher's. 2. Nehru was, for sure, a very less visionary. Do we have any other documents where it says that he consulted the then Home Minister. He would have taken this silly decision on his own.

The problem was lack of basic understanding of peace. Peace can be attained only if you have the worst kind of arsenal at your disposal. Unfortunately, Nehru realised this quite late. And even then, there was no incentive for industrialization and communal closeness. People were jealous of each other within the same community.

@@Mohitsharma0306 दोस्त कांग्रेस 1937 में चुनाव जीत कर राज्यों में सरकार चला चुकी थी। नैहरू 1923-24 में अलहाबाद के मैयर, पटेल बोम्बे के, बोस कोलकाता के CEO रह चुके थे। आर्मी में एक हैरारर्की होती है। डायरेक्ट केप्टन के बाद कोई जनरल नहीं बन जाता। और ये सिर्फ भारत में नहीं पाकिस्तान में भी था वहां का आर्मी कमांडर भी अंग्रेज था। मेरी बात तुम्हें गलत लगेगी पर यही सही है हमें जो सेना मिली थी उसको ट्रेनिंग हमारी आवाज दबाने के लिए दी थी ना कि हमारी रक्षा के लिए। ये हमें दिखा भी जलियांवाला बाग में। फिर पाकिस्तान में सेना ने जो तख्ता पलट किया और अयूब खान ने जो तख्ता पलटा 1958 में हमारे पहले जनरल करियप्पा जी पाकिस्तान गये। उन्होंने इस चीज की तारीफ की वहां।

WW2 (1939-1945) took a toll on the Indian army, two years later they were asked to do the same after "politically" agreeing to the two state solution by both the sides, I would have thought this if I were an officer in army at that point.

In my view, whether nehru want to go or not it does not matter because the commander of indian army is president , secondly if nehru has power to change it and he does that that it gives wrong message that parliament has overriding powers of army general decision which creates doubt in army generals mind which effect upcoming decision of indian army generals, third bucher is more aware about actual reality whether he is right or wrong , fourth is Indian soldiers might be tired we don't know because fighting in mountains is difficult task today , here we are talking about 1948 and tenure is more than 1 year, operation polo is going parallel , So, we can't judge looking at today perspective , we can't change past , but we can change today Nehru might be wrong or not , the actual reality was gone we never knows that I don't support any party

@@rahulpandita2166 दोस्त वर्ल्ड वार 2 के बारे मे पढ़ना। पहली बात चीन को UNSC में पर्मनेंट सीट पहले से ही थी। बल्की 1945 में पहले सिर्फ 4 देश USA, UK, CHINA, RUSSIA के पास पर्मनेंट सीट थी क्योंकि इन चारों देशों ने जर्मनी, जापान, इटली को हराया था FRANCE बाद में इसलिए दी गई क्योंकि उसका नुक़सान बहुत हुआ था। 1949 में जब चीन में माऊ जीता तो वीटो आज के ताईवान के पास चले गया। 1950 में अगर नेहरू USA की बात मानकर पर्मनेंट सीट के लिए हां बोल देते तो क्या USSRइस बात के लिए राजी होता क्या वो भारत को पर्मनेंट सीट के खिलाफ वीटो नहीं कर देता? 1955 में अगर USSR के कहने के बाद हां करते तो क्या उस समय USA वीटो नहीं करता इसके खिलाफ? दोनों देश में जानते थे अफ्रीका, और एसिया के नये आजाद हुए देशों का भारत के नेता हैं भारत जिस भी गुट को ज्वाइन करता ये सारे देश उस पाले में जाते इसलिए दोनों देश नेहरू को अपनी तरफ करना चाहते थे। पर्मनेंट सीट तब ही मिल पाती जब 5 देश‌ तैयार होते और अगर भारत USA का औफर एक्सेप्ट करता तो USSR विटो करता और USSR का औफर एक्सेप्ट करता तो USA विटो करता।
