As someone with over 2000hrs on MW2 back in the day idk what the fuck they're talking about "months of ruining the game" with the care package glitch. It really wasn't that common in multiplayer to the point where I barely noticed it at the time.
They're absolutely right about CW zombies being too easy. I'd never hit Round 100 on any cod zombies before but I was able to do it on every single map on Cold War with my group of mates with basically no difficulty - the only reset we had was when my PS5 crashed at round 89 once lol
Agreed. I've always been a big zombies fan but never the best player, but on this game it kinda killed it for me. I remember the BO1 and waw days where round 35 and 40 was a genuinely impressive feat among the lunchroom kids.
@@chrisgonz19 surprisingly enough it isn't the easiest zombies game. BO4 zombies I literally had to end every game myself because you were basically invincible lol And yeah legit!! I remember getting to round 50 once on Kino and feeling like a fucking god amongst men at school 😅 good times
@@CamMackay96 WAW was genuinely a creepy experience that first time on Nacht and B04 felt like you were a superhero fighting zombies 🤣 Y'all remember when the Ray Gun worked past round 20? 🤣🤣
the issue with woody and kyles pov is they're treating a casual shooter in a time when pretty much everyone was new to multiplayer gaming as a competitive shooter lmao
I love how they have a super old school style view on zombies saying it’s too easy, despite the fact that zombies arguably got harder after black ops 1 (til Cold War of course)
World at war was super hard with the Usain Bolt zombies, instant 2 tap death, no/worse perks, shitty guns, small maps aside from der riese, no PAP aside from der riese.
I always played Hardcore TDM, and on PS3. So there tended to be a lot less people just scrambling around, and squeakers. Seemed to have fewer cheaters (depending on what months you were playing.) Great game definitely marred by Activi$ion. That was also the year PC games jumped $10 thanks to Ubisoft and Assassin's 2.
I agree. Something about the graphics, the sound design, the movement, etc just felt incredibly smooth and has never been replicated since, not even in mw3. Maybe it was the engine they used to develop the game
I'd rate the top 5, in order, as: 1. World at War 2. MW2 3. MW (CoD 4) 4. Black Ops 5. Black Ops 2 When they started doing the futuristic games, it began to suck.
Nah the jetpack era was fun as fuck. Only dogshit casuals hated it. It was the only time where call of duty has ever innovated in any way whatsoever. Black ops 3 is a top 3 selling cod if im not mistaken.
Miss bo2 zombies. All the dlc expect die rise were bangers. Origins was way ahead of it’s time. Buried was such a vibe with being able to open the whole map on round 1. Mob had an enjoyable Easter egg and the blunderbus made it really fun.
Hands down best for me. Might be biased cause it was my first FPS shooting game, but I jjst remember fun quick scope matches with my friends on Rust, Terminal, and Highrise. Also multiplayer was still fun even with its issues with nubetubing and overpowered shit. UMP, Scar-H, Famas, and ACR were always a blast and loved Ranger Akimbo as my secondary weapon.
Favela was a good map, I wish I knew about RU-vid like I do now then.... me and my friends would play like 6-8 hours a day.... geez I wish I would have been making money on it.
I went back to mw2 right before the ps4 switch and found myself in a unlimited time nap on favela. Spent at least 3-4 hours in there. Very dynamic map.
People only have fond memories of it because of their childhoods. It was a game that was extremely hacked, overpowered weapons with numerous glitches, exploits, and virtually zero community outreach from the developers.
I agree with Kyle's opinion. I just found MW2 multiplayer mostly frustrating. The game was so unbalanced with a slew of overpowered weapons, attachments, perks and killstreaks. I found MW3s multiplayer to be much more enjoyable but MW2 did have a better campaign.
Modern Warfare 2 did a good job of the bigger is better mindset when it comes to video game sequels. Kind of like Assassin's Creed 2 where adding more pays off. Being able to Nuke the map blew my mind
I personally view WAW, Black ops 1 and 2 to be the best, would say Black ops 2 was the king of them all, but that's my opinion on it. COD4 to Black ops 2 was really the golden Era.
I was playing mw2 on ps3 a few years after its height and I got in a random lobby where we all could jump 30 feet, had wall hacks and aimbot and I immediately just went with it. People are whining in VC as the match ends and the cheater just spams a giant wall of text on the screen, on ps3, shouting out his YT and where to buy his hacks 😂
I don't think that cold war zombies is necessarily "easy" I would use the term user friendly or Noob Proof. Unlike other games cold war maps are easier to understand and just better for new zombies players
Personally, I always thought MW2 was trash. The love it gets is 100% nostalgia based. COD4 and MW3 are both way better. Hell, I like Ghosts more than I like mw2
It’s so funny to consume cod content from different peoples perspectives and see what they like. For example, I disagree with this Taylor guy entirely that a game where you can jet pack/ run on walls (games that took inherently more skill) are less fun than a one man army noob-tube. But I respect it and it’s just hilarious how different everyone’s experiences are
I personally think modern warfare 1 was amazing. But mw2 was also so great. It was just great times and memories. I hated all the black ops. I also wasn’t a fan of jet packs and shxt. Maybe I’m just old.
COD 4,WaW and BO1-3 all amazing. MW2 noob tubes were so lame. Completely agree with the cheaters. God mode was so fucking rampant. Edit: Had a lot of fun MW3 quick scoping. Also agree shipment was the fucking shit, hardcore headquarters on that map was insanity. Nuketown is the best map of all time though.
S tier take. Bad game with like 2 updates during its prime despite having so many bugs. It released during a golden era of cod so it's as beloved as each cod that released during 2007-2012 but it's differently at the bottom of those. Cod 4 Bo2 Bo1 MW3 WaW MW2
You are high or just lying if you think M BO1, MW3 or WaW were better than MW2 and I loved all of those games. MW2 had a level of fun that cod never matched imo, people prefer BO2 because its a fundamentally better game but it was never as fun as MW2.
@@CamMackay96 I had way more fun on bo2 than mw2. To this day I think it's my most played game. Anyways that doesn't matter since what I like is subjective the same way you saying mw2 was more fun is subjective. I like to believe I look at things with as little bias and nostalgia as possible so I can objectively judge them for what they are. Mw2 had just as much content as cod 4 with less updates, more bugs and a worse net engine. WaW multi was a step down from cod 4 but the zombies addition to the game made up for it, I would put it on par with mw2. Bo1 was huge in content. The addition of player emblems and the file share system along with improved mic audio quality made for unforgettable moments on that game. With less game breaking glitches, constant updates and the expansion on the zombies game mode which I thought was the best part of the game(subjective), I would put that above mw2 no doubt. Mw3 had a very similar multi experience but definitely provided more content along with expanding on spec ops, too bad it had noticeably worse mic audio quality than bo1 even though it released a year after. Now for Bo2 the best of the best(subjective). I feel like a lot of people like it more because of the amazing YT content that was made on the game during its prime(The crew, Vanoss gaming, FaZe etc). I personally thought it was the best because it took everything that was great about bo1 and improved on it immensely so. With that being said the 2 games that came after it were not liked so much that a majority of cod players continued to play that as their main game until bo3. That must be why I have so much time on it. Anyways those are my reasons why mw2 is the worse cod of the golden era
people who complain about mw2 were just bad at the game and likely shooters in general. You can literally run lobbys consecutively with any gun using the right build.
Why is the title even a question. No doubt nothing competes with the call of duty’s released from inception until mw3. After mw3 each game got worse and worse until where now over decade past mw3 call of duty is micro transaction mega bot. It’s not the same. It never will be. My nostalgia wants it to exist but the reality is it will never be the same as being in 3rd grade playing black ops 1 everyday.
@@LunaticByNature Minecraft came out on Xbox after black ops one and mw3. I played both those games to entirety before Minecraft even had an Xbox edition. 2010-2011 = blops 1. 2011-2012 = mw3. Late spring/ early summer 2012 Minecraft Xbox 360 edition came out. And I also played thousands of hours of Minecraft. I don’t see why we see it as such a necessity to shelter our youth from the real world when they are in the real world right now and always will be. It’s a video game not a bottle of pills.
