I think the statement by Ruto ati he'd rather lose and the country wins is quite hypocritical. The country is shouting what it wants, that he must go. If he means what he says, he should start by getting out of the way and not working hard to convince people why he should stay

You are missing the point on the Potato argument. The idea is to protect local farmers. Companies like KFC import their own Potatoes from other countries. Imagine what would happen if were forced to buy locally. The local farmers would benefit a lot.

How come when police happen to shoot victims caught up in demonstrations, the so called human rights activists and NGOs are the first ones on the scene and they just happen to film the shooting from when the police aims the gun, when he pulls the trigger and when the victim falls/injured/or becomes a fatality? These so called human rights activists then immediately post the videos online including every detail of the shootings from A-Z, followed by an appeal for DONATIONS! long before anyone even the civilians or journalists who are present at the "shooting" can do so. More interesting is the fact that the civilians with phones who take the footage of the shooting, normally just take snippets of it, for instance when the victim has already been shot and is lying on the ground. it's never full footage but the "human rights activists" will have full footage every detail including number of bullets, policeman details etc. How do they know that the shooting is going to happen? how do they know the number of bullets when a bullet travels faster than light? But when a policeman happens to be caught by a crowd and attacked, there is never a human rights activist on the scene to take the footage and post it immediately! . Civilians who are there are the ones who happen to take those videos! Point is the so called human rights activists and NGOs are the greatest scammers only equal to yahoo boys and politicians!
