The problem is really just the title. It was more like the "Deep Dark and some random swamp shit" update, a truly "Wild" update would indicate massive overhauls to the overworld
Kinda Like the fireflies could have simply been an aesthetic thing but Noo they were gone Bundles and archaeology are gonna be added next update so that's kinda redeeming for them so good for them I guess
The birch forest was concept art and they said they weren’t adding it in 1.19. Also, archeology was announced for caves and cliffs and that was when it was cancelled. They said that if they had known how long the warden would take they would’ve given the update a different name.
To be honest i don't think they were working on warden at all considering that a single modded made a warden mod that functions exactly like today's warden in just a few weeks while they took months to add it
@@letsplayitoutmannn8646 To be fair, coding things on your own is actually faster than having a big team coding it. Companies usually want a meeting for every little change that they want to add. So much of the senior developer's time end up being wasted by meetings.
Its crazy when you think, the caves and cliffs update 1, caves and cliff update 2 and half of wild update and tons more was planned to be in a single update. Thats why i am mad.
With the warden they finally made mobs something you should fear,Skeletons?use a shield,spiders?use a sword,enderman?go under a tree with 2 blocks distance between leaves and ground,creeper?blast protection,bad at fighting mobs?SLEEP

Bro everything in the new update is useless, warden is to overpowered, the new biomes have no use, and even the bug changes were so tiny that it has zero difference
Minecraft developers really fell off lately. In 1.17, we were getting hyped about caves and cliffs and waited around 7 months for it. Not long before 1.17 came out, we were informed that the caves and cliffs would come out in 1.18, and that the archeology feutures werent being added. Now they fucked up 1.19! Im really getting pissed off about these last few updates, and 1.15 was ass too. I want minecraft to bring back the joy of things being promised in an update, and an update having lots of things like 1.16
I'm disappointed, (and confused about the fireflies) but I could never be mad because their job is insanely hard and mojang doesn't seem to have a crunch problem.
I just annoyed by Warden in bedrock because he is undefeated and you just died with netherite armor in just 3seconds also warden can beat wither in bedrock
As someone who actually knows the process of coding and that kind of thing, I can understand what they did and feel pretty good. But, they should’ve atleast told people about the things that were removed earlier.
Minecraft updates haven’t felt consistent with what they say will be added since the time they released the horse update, something somewhere will be an update late or just not added
My problem with it wasn’t that they didn’t add the stuff that they promised. It’s more that they gave BS excuses for why they didn’t add them. For the fireflies, they said that people told them that fireflies are poisonous for frogs to eat. And while SOME species of fireflies are poisonous for SOME species of frogs, it not an excuse. Feeding a cookie to a parrot is poisonous and still a feature in the game. Or they could’ve just not made them food for frogs. Or just said that they weren’t the poisonous type. As for the birch forests, mojang said that it was just concept art and shouldn’t’ve been taken as a promised feature. My problem with that, is that the live event is specifically designed to hype promised/guaranteed features. If you aren’t going to add it, don’t show it on the One platform designed to showcase new features.
I would be mad at Mojang if they kept making the same mistake over and over again. But they are clearly listening to the community and have realized for the 1.20 update that it is better to underpromise and over deliver than the other way around
The only thing that I ever find annoying about these things is the community themselves. I don't code, but I can perfectly understand how an actual job works, whereas doing it by yourself would take much less time. They're doing what they can to listen to us without making us wait actual years for the updates. Besides, do y'all read the minecraft update news in the launcher? Some of the things MOST LIKELY will be added in 1.20
the only reason it feels disapointing is because we was promised the last 4 updates in 1 update so it just feels like we are getting old stuff that we had known about for like 3 years
Wasn’t the reason behind not adding fireflies was that they’re actually poisonous to toads? They could’ve just made it so the toads just didn’t eat them!
So what mojang should go “alright guys the people wang new biomes hope u didn’t have a plan for the next 3 months because we are gonna have to change how biomes spawn and add a bunch of them each with a special idea and effect and have ti work on all the glitches that come with the new update for old worlds 😃”
i'm not mad because i didn't get what they said, i'm mad because they purposely made every feature boring, have you seen the concepts and scrapped mechanics for the deep dark? it would've been awesome but they decided to just make the deep dark a biome where u just hold shift and become invincible.
The bundle would be the best early game item the only reason we don't have it is cause pocket addition I think we should do what happend to fortnite on ios and keep it at a lower update
I still don't understand why people thought concept art would come into the game. I mean why do magor videogame have a literal dictionary thick book of concept art? Because it's concept art! It's only a prototype.
Not really, they add so many other things and sometimes it takes a while or it just doesn’t work out. You just have to wait and hope something better will happen
Tbh, I still don't think the warden and the deep dark fits in. I've played with it alot, and I just don't think the textures fit in. It seems more like a well made mod, plus, I absalutely hate thst the warden drops nothing
I thought the birch forests were so beautiful! Hoping we see them in a future update. I was somewhat disappointed in the update, I’ll admit. I think that this update should’ve focused on the Deep Dark and left the swamps for later. Personally I would love to see a 1.20 “Biome Remake” update! It would take all of our now known biome and refresh them (ex: The birch forest concept art and the swamp concept art would now be in game). I think along with this, Mojang could add special things in each biome. As an example, in the desert we could have archeological dig sites (which a lot of people, myself included, were sad to see go). These would be on theme with the desert which will make it less of a barren waste land - for lack of better word. I also think each biome should have a new mob (or two!) specifically designed for it, like how the axolotls now only spawn in lush caves. Along with that, a mob that can spawn in different areas and will change patterns depending on where it is (as in what they added for frogs). That’s all I can really think of for now. Tell me what I missed :)
I’m f**king p!ssed I was so hyped for that archeology, remember when you were kids and you would watch Minecraft dinosaurs imagine how cool for kids nowadays would have it if that came out
I ain't really annoyed at the MC team but more at the community. The main focus of 1.19 was swamps and the deep dark. These features most likely took a while to code into the game because of how specific the additions are. Deep dark needed to find "vibrations" which was a completely new thing and mangrove trees grow in weird ways with roots unlike other trees So its most likely they had a deadline they needed to meet but couldn't because of the planned ideas so they had to remove a few. I do believe we will get archaeology when there is something such as the badlands update or desert update
