I like that you said it's not a kids movie. It's a barbie movie for grown woman who grew up with it. Problem is, every mother in the world was taking their 9 year old daughters to see this. and they likely SHOULDN'T have
and its nice you can ignore the politics.. but this movie was pushing a fake narrative about a hypothetical patriarchy through leftist ideals. maybe lots of people are numb to the propaganda, but its still serious.
Boom Thankyou. Barbie was strictly about dolls. That's it. Magic and fairytale being the only other things with it(Animated Barbie movies). Barbie has never been about bullshit modern Feminism and Patriarchy. This movie was just using the Barbie brand as a platform to spread it's message. It only succeeded because they made sure to use a female brand to do it. This doesn't work most of the time because they are normally using Male brands(Modern MCU, Modern Star Wars, Modern DC, Modern Indians Jones ect) to inject their message, which is a stupid idea
Just seeing a couple of scenes tells me it a woke crap that men should not have to take. If men based women like this in movies, women would be pulling out their Metoo cards. Women have never been treated badly in movies like they are treating men badly now.
I'm a man and I'll tell you the real problem. The problem is men pirate movies and women and children don't so they're trying go make movies for a women audience. I'm part of the problem but at least I see it and I'm willing to pay for better movies and series. So men let's start paying for what we watch and complain later.
The last scene was the only part of Barbie that I liked. It made me smile.You liked it way more than I. I welcome all views. I may not agree but I listen. Thank you for yours.
Lots of people did hate it. Just because it made lots of money doesn't mean its good. Sometimes you get movies that do well BO wise but is still hated by some folks.
Guess your forgot about the fact that women started dumping their boyfriends because they did not agree with the themes or even like the Barbie movie. Explain how that's not pathetic?
