Omg that's a vintage dress clip! (not a fur clip or shoe clip, those have different shaped clasps) Usually they're sets so you might be able to find the match in there! edit: if any of you wanna learn more, this is a great video by vintage fashion youtuber The Closet Historian!: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pFjY7aFHamo.htmlsi=nRoSuOtMoSKirkdI
Back in the Great Depression. They didn't have that much money. So the used these. To spice up their outfits. To make them look better.because they didn't have that much money to buy a new dress, and this could make the same old dresses look a little nicer😊
These are some of my favorite peices because I have sensory issues I wear it singularly where a necklace pendant would fall!! I get to be girly and sparkly still without the itchiness of a necklace chain!! My favorite is to wear them on v neck t shirts
I think the first piece is called a dress clip. Back in the day when women only had 2 or 3 different dresses, they would wear dress clips on the collars or lapels of the dress to make them look "different." It was supposed to make you feel like you weren't wearing the same dress everyday.
The first thing, shoe clasp could sometimes double as decorative clasps for cinchers that we'd wear to pull dresses or blouses back to give a thinner look
Shoe clip is the first item. Worn to decorate the fronts of simple pumps. From 40-60s as it doesn’t have a deco look of the 20s. Could be also used on a chain to make a necklace or cover a simple belt clasp. Ideas abound but it’s a shoe clip. Goes in where the toes are a sits there. You could put on the outside top of a boot to hide a zipper these days too.
The hearts that you have those are actually barrettes the ones that snapped when you tie the loop off I used to have them I was little kid my Mom hated them cuz it would always snatch her knuckles but I still have those those are actually really not vintage 2001
The first one is for the neck of dresses and they were originally used in the great depression when there weren’t a lot of fabrics and new dresses to be bought so they use those to make it feel like they were wearing a new dress instead of just walking around in the same same old thing, it was like buying something to make yourself feel prettier
The first item, is a scarf clip/shoe clip. You use it to help keep your scarves in places, or if you had two matching ones, you’d add them to the front of yours shoes to spice them up/change their looks with out having to buy new shoes
The first piece is a scarf buckle, and a very interesting, almost vintage one. They are used to style fine scarves without the risk of damaging the fabric. The piece, unfortunately, is not your style.
