I love how in plenty of your videos you share your mistakes with everyone. Not everyone is willing to show their missteps.

Probably needs a clutch , plugs ,wires , coils After refurb you are into it 9-10 k. At that mileage probably worth 11-12 max once all cleaned up and fixed, and that’s if there are no other surprises

Craig buddy, you’re doing what I used to do to myself very often in similar situations. It’s gone, let it go NOW! If you don’t it’s going to be counterproductive at work produce some collateral damage at home. Even if you don’t say a word about it your wife and kids are going to know something’s wrong even if they have absolutely no idea what. You flipping back and forth between “damn! I should have bought it” and “I’m glad I didn’t “ will simply distract you from all the important things you should be focusing on. As I mentioned, I used to do the same thing to myself. It was a topic I briefly discussed my psychologist (hey, Tony Soprano had one too!) which was very helpful as in “you’re standing too close to see the trees”. One of the few benefits of getting older has been learning to take a few steps back whilst looking at the aforementioned trees. And if it bothers you that much you could have offered the buyer a nickel to step aside. I was raised in the used car business, going to the auctions in the 80's w/ Dad, I'd see crazy stuff done either trying to get the unit cheap, OR to disguise known problems, plugwires pulled or switched, same w/ distributor ends of wires on "cheap", sawdust in oil to reduce leaks temporarily, or my personal favorite of 1 guy trying to prevent smoke from tailpipe on his car running thru, ringman told driver to rev it, cause it was slugging out, when he did, the gig was up & the dealers behind it got to see a flying potato become mashed potatoes on the car behind it. Crazy stuff goes on when unscrupulous dealers start walking the auction lots!! 🤔👀

6:55 you didn't lose thousands, you lost the opportunity to make thousands. A loss is when you have $5000 and then you don't have $5000.

Our local Ford dealer is also a Roush dealer so there are a lot of Roush cars in this part ofNorth Carolina. Always enjoy your videos .

Confusing one. Has the side skirts and wing, right seats, wing and seats to be an S2 car with the S3 Fascia but then it should have an 99-01 Cobra 03/04 V6 hood. If it was an S3 or 360/380R it should have the supercharged motor and the alcon/Roush brakes. The only way to know for sure is checking the door jambs for the Roush serial sticker. TBH without the Roush wheels/Alcon brakes, Supercharger, and documentation its just worth what a GT of similar condition is so likely dodge a bullet. But if it was a GT you could have sold the Roush parts for a few grand and sold the stock GT for what you paid to at least salvage a profit.

That was a stage 2 Roush that comes with body kit suspension upgrade interior and the wheels. The only deference between that one and a stage 3 is big brake kit and supercharger.

I just started watching the video and looked it over as you did and paused just before auction. I have to say "it's real"the gauges got me and the body kit. Plus this may sound funny but the remaining exhaust tip kinda sealed it but the gauges made it feel like a safe bet"how do you fake that". Wish you had popped the hood too but what can you do? Hoping I don't look dumb. I will now continue to watch on TV and keep this comment box open on my phone. Ohhh that's too bad Craig. I would have loved to see you turn that into a nice profit with really hardly any real investment. The gauge's like I say were my biggest tell, "who's going to spend all that money pulling the dash to swap if they were even available?"also that exhaust tip looked like a quality rousch fit.

if you call or email roush with the vin number they will tell you if they have a record of it and sometimes they will be able to send you a copy of the roush window sticker. definitely something you should do next time

Into it raw at 7k, probably 2k to refurbish, that's a 9k car. To sell it for 10-12 is not a loss of thousands.

That was no loss on Stage 1, but there was a Shelby F150 that I saw at the end of the video.

As a New Edge owner, nobody wants a stage 1 Roush. You lucked out missing out on this one. That thing isn't worth 5k as it sits.

You can't look at it like that without knowing how high the other bidders would have gone.

A real roush in good condition with those miles you could probably get $10-12k for it, Roush especially stage 1 aren’t desirable at all, it may be less desirable than a GT because it’s ugly, have to find the right buyer with those.. I love New Edges and I would never drive a car with those side pipes or hideous body kit.. No loss on this one, you should be glad you passed…

Unless you find out how much $ he had to put into the car, you will never know. Had you got there earlier you could have plugged in a code scanner, done s visual inspection, and maybe driven it. Also you dont know what the selling price is until youve sold it. Also you never got under the car to see the frame. Rusty or not.

I would have also bet that it wasn’t genuine. I like the bringing cheap beaters and commuters back to life that are really beat, but for the collectibles, it’s nice to buy and make videos on examples that aren’t completely trashed. Id probably have passed at $6k even knowing it was real, that thing looks like it just got back from filming an episode of Intervention

Stage 1 is primarily a styling package. This package could have been ordered on any Mustang GT trim level, including the Track Pack to add even more performance. ROUSH restyles the exterior of the car with different grilles, spoiler, rear fascia, and graphics. Inside there’s the ROUSH Stage 1 medallion, as well as the RS1 badge in the grille. ROUSH also serializes each of these cars with plagues riveted to the door jambs and under the hood. The stage one can be had with standard Mustang GT wheels or optional ROUSH wheel options.A ROUSH short-throw shifter is also an option, as well as a ROUSH axle-back exhaust system.

An easy google search or vin search would have answered all your questions

I have 2021 roush stage 3 convertible with 14000 miles. I can't even sell it for $65000. So 2003 with only roush kit shouldn't cost even $6000.

Looks like a stage 2 body kit but they were supercharged. Stage 1 had rear exit exhaust. Your a car dealer so you already know the VIN tells all.

The cheapest (on autotrader) 2003 mustang gt is selling for $11,000 so even if it's a regular GT $5600 isn't terrible. That's $6800 CDN You could do a lot worse.

I have a 2003 stage 3 real Roush. With only 12k on the odometer., it’s fake. Should have a jack Roush sticker on the side windows. And with the little possibility that it is, it’s only a stage one which is a piece of shit.
