Good question right? For sure this was probably our last time skinning up to the Santa Croce sanctuary in Alta Badia Dolomiti Superski resort. From now on we will use our ski's less and just from real back country skiing as long the conditions are good.
In the meantime let's have a toast all together for this season and just continue to follow us. Let us know in the comments what you would like to see from Alta Badia Dolomites during spring 👍👍

Dopo diversi anni in questa stagione non abbiamo potuto sciare nella bellissima Alta Badia, ma i vostri video sono riusciti a far sentire meno la mancanza dei magnifici paesaggi delle Dolomiti. What a nice way to end the skimo season, relaxing in the evening sun with a special someone, some wine, cheese, meat and 1 last run downhill. I am displaced from snow country, living in Florida now, but I enjoy watching Biathlon and Alpine skiing, (Doro and Fede are two of my favorites). I know of Antholz and Cortina from the world cup but it is wonderful to see the surrounding area in detail as you show us, thank you and your family. I enjoy all your videos but hopefully you will have time to do more skimo vids next season.

As we would say here in Ireland, Mighty Craic , ye are as mad as us ,the wife hiking the lunch up on her back ,skiing down with the wine and wondering if the bouquet has changed ?,Let me ask a question which season do you really prefer Ski/toboggan or cycling / hiking ?

Well ... because of the type of fine, yes the bouquet has changed. And it was tastier at the bottom than at the top 😉. Skiing without any doubt all the way before Christmas, then afterwards we let space to the "wannabe skiers" and then we get back to skiing again when it's less crowded after mid of March. In between we ski some saturdays when it's also less crowded because guests leave and new one comes.

Ciao Francesco, le piste le hanno sempre tenute pronte e battute fino alla prima settimana di febbraio (ultima speranza per poter riaprire gli impianti). Purtroppo il lavoro degli impiantisti é stato vano.

😅un ottimo esercizio scendere col bicchiere e neve ancora spettacolare visto anche le basse temperature...secondo me un riscaldamento per una scialp più impegnativa 😃 Una considerazione riguardo all'uso dei gatti e pale meccaniche per togliere la neve sulle piste (spesso per far spazio ai tracciati mtb) e sui sentieri che portano ai rifugi ... lo trovo veramente insensato e fuori luogo, in montagna ci si dovrebbe adattare alle condizioni che si trovano

Ciao Roby, spostare/distribuire la neve su uno spessore omogeneo é una prassi comune ormai. Non per far spazio a tracciati di MTB ma bensí per una cosa molto piú importante: Fare spazio ai pascoli cosí che le mucche possano ben presto trascorrere le loro "vacanze" su di essi. Infatti ad inizio stagione, con la neve programmata, lo strato a contatto con il terreno é ghiaccio puro. Se questo non viene portato alla vista del sole (perché ricoperto da altra neve) rallenta di molto la fioritura stagionale.
