I wish I had seen this when I first started my locs. I was so intimidated at the start to do my own retwist. Just think of the money I could have saved over the past EIGHT years. I have just started doing my own last year.
I had no idea what that stuff was in my daughter’s hair and I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to wash it out 😂 no one else has ever explained this in their videos. Thank you!!
I just loc’d my hair two months ago... I was intimidated about doing my own retwist until I watched your video... Technically my hair hasn’t loc’d yet I’m going through the process. I go once a month for a retwist and I use fenugreek oil, castor oil and Wild Growth Hair Oil on my scalp. I use a Du-rag to tie my hair up and my hair stays neat for 3-4 weeks... Because my hair hasn’t loc’d yet after my retwist my locs are styled to stay protected. I’m so glad I decided to loc my hair, this was the best decision I made in 2020!!!
I’m glad my video helped you feel more comfortable with doing your own hair. I go back and forth but it’s so nice when I can do it myself and really take the extra time to wrap my hair around my locs it makes such a difference in their appearance. Congratulations on beginning your journey!!
Yess! I love seeing locs up close 🙌🏽✨. Just SUBSCRIBED. I use the same technique when I retwist, wrapping the loose hair around the loc definitely makes a difference.
FINALLY!!! I am sooo thankful for your video!! I’m just one year in and I have been concerned with how tame the frizz and how to resume the clean parts between the Locs. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Gorgeous locs. I do my conditioner the same way but I mix water into the entire bottle. Never thought to separate it. I used to use hello hydration on my loose curls and loved. Looks like I’ll have to buy some
Very very very beautiful!❤ I'm about to do my locs now. I've been loc'd since 11/1 2021 And you inspired me to do a RU-vid video on how I do mine. I love the fact that you got straight to the point, you're in your kitchen in the sink, and it feels very very homey and relatable. Makes me really inspired to just get out there and do it. It doesn't have to be perfect. Do your best and give it your all. That's perfect enough! Thank you!✨
THANK YOU! My son has had his pics for two years and we were going once a month for a retest, his loc lady moved away and I’m struggling to find a replacement. Turns out I’m trying myself and this is EVERYTHING I NEEDED!!!
Yes it takes longer but super easy! I went to a loctition my first year because I just wanted that reassurance they were forming properly but after that I began to maintain myself.
My mom is trying to passively-aggressively talk me out of locs but lol I'm positive I'm going to do microlocs. Don't quote me though. Beautiful hair!! Thanks for the video
I’m dead at passively-aggressively talk me out of locs 😂 lol thank you!! Yes you have to do what’s right for YOU. One of the main people that tried to tell me I shouldn’t get them is the main person telling me how beautiful they are and how she’s considering them for herself 🙄 lol
You're essence is just beautiful 😍😍 randomly I just had a sudden urge that I would like to get locs so I've been doing my research for the past two day's lol great video thank you sis🙏🏾🤍
Do you suggest someone with starter locs do their own retwist ? It looks easy enough but I’m only about 2 and half months locd, and only have gotten retwisted once!
hopefully you still see these comments but how long does it take for you to twist? I think you might be the first person I've seen that has a ton of locs like me.
When I’m trying to get my parts real clean and I use clips about 5 hours. If I’m using a hair tye and just use my fingers and don’t obsess over the parts 2 and a 1/2.
Can you please turn off the tap when you are not using it? It's pumping out so much water while you are filling Ur bottles or applying conditioner to your hair. I really love your video though. It makes me want to clean my hair too.
Thank you!!! About 4-5 hours I take my time lol but that’s also because I wrap my frizzy hair going down the loc because my locs aren’t as mature but when I don’t it only takes me like 2 and a 1/2 hours.
Heyyyyy. I had started my locs in November of last year and I just have an question. When you retwist your loc, do I have to retwist left or right before putting the clip in and another question lol, umm... Did you get the product you use from any beauty supply store?
