The Alto Sella is a 12km race from Cangas de Onis to Arriondas (Arriondas being the start of the more famous Sella Descent). The race once as important as its downstream companion race now attracts a small number of northern Spanish paddlers. Be warned though, it is a kayak eater in low water, as I found out my river layup wasn't quite up to it. Also don't run Golondrosso without your spray deck on.
