Thanks for the great and inspiring ideas! I save any bits of pretty papers (wrapping, lined envelopes, magazine ad pictures, you name it) and repurpose it as stationary, envelopes, or note cards. You've helped me see with a bit of double-sided tape or scrapbook adhesive, which I have on hand, I can use these bits as I would washi tape. Thanks again from a new fan!
Thanks for sharing this! I always keep all sorts of paper products around so this gives me some ideas! Also, Dollar Tree has been releasing some washi tape too.
You could use packaging tape with napkins too, take off the back white layer and your left with the print. I often stick them on boxes or glass jars with mod podge.
You don't know where to buy washi if you think it's all that expensive. On average, mine cost less than $1-2 at the most. Aliexpress, Dollar Tree, EBay, Wish all have great deals. Even craft stores are decent if you use coupons.
I have over 100 washi tapes..... even at $2 each, that's $200, minimum. If you think that is cheap, then I envy you! My tips are geared more for the beginner or person on a tight budget. But thanks for your comment.
Well yeah, obviously it's a lot of money, but it's likely not going to be bought all at once, either. Build your collection up over time, just like you would with any other collection. All I'm saying is that you can definitely find them cheaper. Almost 80% of my collection are ones that are cheaper than $1, and I have almost as many as you. I'm not saying your ideas are bad, Lord knows, when I started, I used many of the same techniques, just that there are cheaper options than $3-4 a role.
