Nice job Steve. Health care costs are enough to make anyone sick! We have a 3,000 deductible for me,wife and kids. Buy the time I even come close, the years over and it's time to start paying it all over again!
Did you say 120 psi water pressure? No wonder the valve leaked and I'd be surprised if it wasn't leaking in other places. I'd definitely have pushed her to let me install a pressure regulator. 60 psi should be more than enough. I operate at 35 psi in my home.
Reading stuff about it, I like Switzerland's health care system. Not because it's cheap (costs more than other European systems, and they pay more than average for routine medical expenses). But because it's sane, and in some ways it's more recognizable to American eyes in that it's mostly privatized. "Sanity" means: 1. A single system for everybody, cradle to grave. No Medicare, Medicaid, VA, employer provided insurance, etc. No family plans - everybody has their own individual plan. 2. Costs for procedures are regulated, so you know that you're always gonna pay the same for any particular medical procedure. 3. It does have a mandate, and the mandate has teeth. Result: pretty much everyone has insurance. 4. Because it's not tied to an employer, you don't have to stay in a job you hate just because you're worried that starting your own business or a different company won't have the insurance to treat your sick child. From what I read, the average person pays $450 / month for insuance, though there is assistance based on what % of your income insurance would cost you. You pay roughly the first $300 or so of medical expenses annually, then you pay 10% of what comes after that up to a max of an additional $700. So the max out of pocket for a year is $1000. Not cheap, but sane. That's for the basic, minimum plan...way better on deductibles than the average plan in the US. If you want extra stuff covered (dental, glasses, etc.) you can get supplemental insurance as desired.
Thanks for video Steve! I picked up my wife's prescription. Basically Industrial type Maalox for her esophagus. With insurance it was $10 for 3 bottles. Without insurance it was just under $800.00! I know Obamacare is prevalent now but insurance has been rising steadily every year since 1998. Time for both sides to knock the crap off, get a group of guys who don't spend their political career's getting in the news and work out something that benefits this country and not just the poor and the rich. Both Dem's and Rep's are too beholding to med/pharma.
Steve, you have to call Andrew Dreyfus, he's the CEO of Blue Cross Blue sheild. Who knows what his salary jumped to this year? I can't find it. We need to get these for profit insurance company's out of the picture. They're bleeding us dry.
Doug Lebo Ok, no problem, fix it yourself then. The United States pays more than double for healthcare than all the rest of the industrialized countries, precisely because we unlike Europe have a middleman picking our pockets, profiting off our illness. If you are happy ranking #37, that's fine. But I'm paying double what everybody else is paying, I'd at least expect to be in the top ten.
No disrespect; however, I am shocked how many people are out there who cannot do a "very simple" plumbing repair like this. I am not a plumber, but when I bought my house 30+ years ago I updated all of the supply and waste plumbing in my house by myself and that was before the internet and all of the how-to videos that are now available.
Good job !!! Steve , i wonder about the return hose , when you push back the macine in place ,you see the hose folding almost in half ........may have a problem and water spraying up when the spin cycle comes on But anyway ,just a positive observation Bye 👍🆒
That's Obamacare Steve. I've got a single plan (not premium) for a single person @ $960/month with a $10,000 deductible. WTF am I paying for? I get _NOTHING_ for my hard-earned money. I have to be seriously injured to start collecting any benefits.
This is the worse video I ever saw on RU-vid. Talking about the poor people ,Ebt ,its disgusting. We don't want here about closing homes ,discussions with another people about your health plan DONE 😳SMH
