They don’t cause migraines. For someone who has them migraines come on randomly or can be carried down through genetics. So you should be fine is you wash your hair at night😊
@@hyunjinshairband1 you can easily fake this way as well by not closing / refreshing your browser window after searching at 2 am or editing the html page or simply just taking a screenshot.
Fun fact: Doctors still have no idea why chronic migraines happen. They really don't. The average headache is due to a lot of things but chronic migraines aren't linked to anything, from what they can tell. I'd be surprised if my grandma was right about showering at night and sleeping with my wet hair. I'm still convinced she only said that to make sure I don't ruin her good pillows with water. 😂
@@Arginnethat still isn’t a reason though. The only treatment, like cramps and endo is painkillers and “deal with it”. Mine has triggers like bright light which include streetlights when I’m driving and even phone screens, harsh smells like perfumes and sprays, loud noises, strong tasting food. What I’m getting at is that it’s everything, they’re unavoidable and like crams and endo, doctors don’t give two shits.
The key is drying it before you go to bed, or at least at the roots, because it’s ass o’clock at night, some people will skip drying their hair because it’s too loud and that’s usually what causes the migraine, at least for me
Girl be happy you were able to sleep at 3.46am. If it was me that's how long it would've taken me to DETANGLE my head of hair. I legit would not sleep before 5am at the earliest 😢
the worst is spending all that time detangling and styling, and you’re so tired so you fall asleep before your curls are set and you wake up looking wack asf
Late night showers causing migraines in 20 years.. that's rich. No disrespect to mom, but definitely NOT true!!! I'm not sure how her mother came up with that one, but mother's should refrain from telling their children things like that. The mind is powerful and we tend to accept things being fact that are spoken from people we love. I'm sure she meant no harm. But, do not receive that information into your life. You've heard of " self fulfilling prophecy" Do not receive any negative or bad report into your life ...even when it comes from someone you love, and especially when it's completely without any merit. Taking showers any time of day does not cause migraines. Period!
@@BookObsession2024not true. My shampoo is literally a dollar and 50 cents and it’s worked wonders for my hair. Maybe it’s that I don’t live in the us but still, there are plenty of expensive hair products that didn’t work for me
Remember ladies and gents - you can’t fix split ends, only prevent them. So if you have split ends GET A TRIM. Hair breaks quicker than it growths so don’t forget to get your hair trimmed every 4-6 months.❤️ okay, love you, bye.

Showered at night my entire life, never got any migraines and much more convenient especially before bed as I’m usually tired after my showers so being able to go to bed and sleep is the best.
The thing that causes migraines when you’re older is normally caused by sleeping with wet hair. So if you were to shower at night and dry your hair before you go to sleep. You should be okay 👌
She already has the Dyson, so it's unnecessary to buy a new hair dryer, but products like shampoo will run out sooner or later and you'll have to buy more.
Taking a shower at night won't give you migraine, but not having a good sleep schedule will. Not sleeping at night is more dangerous than you think, so make sure to go to bed early
I do have very frequent headaches ever since i started washing my hair at night but i don't know if it's connected to that lmao , I'll focus on it from now on
I used to take showers at 3 in the morning back when I worked baking bread from home. I'd end up so dirty, tired, and sweaty that I refused to risk soiling my bedsheets with traces of dough, sugar, and flour. It was actually quite relaxing and helped me sleep deeply for a few more hours before going out to make deliveries 💖
Heyy little bit of advice, if your hair is wet, don't use hot air on it since that might burn your hair, cause breakage and frizz (because the water on your hair can heat up way quicker and way more than your hair actually should, thus heating it up too much) Instead let your hair air dry, or use the cold air setting, your dyson should have it :)
The migraine thing I've heard before but not when older just that you might end up with headache.I got that from a my osteopath,he's chinese. I tend to get a bit of a headache and a cold as well on the next day when I wash late. I think your body basically doesn't have the time to regulate temperature while sleeping especially since it tend to change so much from when you are up. I also don't really blow dry so that could be the reason as well.
As a person that did that and gets regular headaches, I can safely say I don't get them because of the night time showers. Instead I get them from poor quality sleep because sleeping in daylight sucks for our bodies and the sounds of day time wake us up, even if we don't remember ❤
Well fyi, it is true... if you sleep with wet hair. If you blowdry then it'll be completely fine. It's just how people get sick when they get rained on. It isn't the rain making you sick, it's the wet hair or clothes.
haha every mother is an asian household . even my mother didn't allow me to wash my hair at night . it was not that I would have migraines but because , it is generally colder at night and its a possibility to catch a cold with wet hair at night
