Checked out some good cliff jumping spots along the Green River in Washington State. Hot day with big crowds but plenty of water to dive in. Walking under a waterfall was pretty epic. First person POV shots on Gopro Hero 9 and aerial shots on DJI Air 2s.

I jumped off the mamba on the west side high point in 1991. I should have depth checked. I didn't try to slow down once I entered the water. I hit bottom feet first, buckled my knees and smacked my butt on the rock bottom. Hairline fracture on my right heel, hit a rock as round as a cantaloupe just into my right toes. Popped my 2nd and 3rd toes out and pulled back onto my foot. Had to go to the ER to get them popped back in. That was the last time I jumped off ANYTHING in a new spot without death checking first. Stay safe people, bit don't hesitate!! Send it!!!!

Is the mamba what Is known as Kong on the other side? Depth checking is rule number 1! Glad your alive.

@vladimirshatilov if your looking up stream, the mamba was on the left side, right at the bottom of a tree trunk/roots.

Came here for this info. I Did the same (around the same time frame too, 91.) I got pressured into it once I was there. Hit bottom HARD. I wish I remember how high it was said to be. I remember that I had to jump out a ways too.

Gotta be careful though. A kid went missing and is presumed drowned, just a couple days ago.

Hey thanks! I can share what I've learned from others... shoot manual shutter and ISO as much as possible. If shooting auto, set to at least negative 1 if not negative 1.5 (otherwise highlights get blown out).

@@OpenRangeStudios it’s across the river and about 20 feet to the right of the clip at 2:08. It kinda just looks like a patch of dry dirt

I hear ya. This is all at Green River Gorge. That spot is to the right of the main trail at its highest.
