Despite being a Roman Catholic, this is one of the best speeches I've heard in a long time. When he mentioned the Frankfurt School I found myself cheering. I think the current climate is pushing him Rightward.
Having read his books it occurs to me the whole drift of Western thought since the disillusionment following the Reformation has been to create a straw man then demolish it as you say.
