Those HOA fees are ridiculous. They are not capped, so they can go up. This is why we purchased in Maryland. We have so much more at a lesser price. Love looking out the window watching deer play. Well-done video.
I grew up in this neighborhood and we would shop at that giant when I was a child. Brings back memories. Anyway, I live in MD now but our family home is still there and we plan on keeping it in the family because the area is just so expensive. We bought in MD, about 700k for a 2700 sqft home on a fourth of an acre, 30 minutes drive from my childhood home. Closer to our work. We might move back someday if it makes sense for our jobs, but you can’t pass up the size of house you can get for far less outside of the district. I’d need over a million to buy in my old neighborhood
This was an amazing video, can't wait to watch more!! You even made H St. NE look clean and empty of the regulars, something I've never seen in my life.🤣
Lol. I knew the condo fees were at or nr $1000 a month. Thats the extra $100,000 of the price. 🤗. However that is literally a steal for that area. Im sure it went pending in 7 days HAB.
@@BashirBadruDMVRealtor Bashir! Thats a sign. Nothing nice in DC under $400 lasts! The market is stabilizing. That unit is wayyy too nice to be sitting. I wish i could live in a 1 bedroom!
@@msnangiej yes, the market is definitely stabilizing. It’s been on fire for way too long. Still somewhat of a sellers market depending on the neighborhood and property, but a lot more friendly towards buyers these days.
A THOUSAND dollars a month for HOA fees are only possible in a money-grab, crony-capitalist system that is heightened to fever pitch like the America. This is absurd. The day I pay $1000 in addition to a mortgage, just take me out back. I stopped paying attention when you said "we'll come back to the HOA fees later" and immediately started searching for the cost. #NEVERNEVER
Yall can keep Dc….ANY NEIGHBORHOOD! I will also say….WAIT the housing market is in a very interesting state. There very well may be a crash in the near future. I would also say negotiate the price….a lot of the units, homes or condos…are being priced on the high side for many unnecessary different reasons.
$1000 HOA for no laundry washer & dryer hook up in my unit? NO THANK YOU. Dark ugly dated kitchen & parquet floor, trust me- you can have a dog if it's an emotional support animal.
with 3% down and the prop tax, homeowners insurance, private mortgage insurance, condo fee, and internet on top of the principle and interest you listed would probably bring the all in monthly cost at 3% down to approximately 5,000$ per month.
5k a month, not possible. We frequently sell condos in that price range and i’m yet to see a mortgage payment exceed The 3k/month range even with high HOA fees and accounting for internet and cable. You pay 5k a month for 600k homes.
Condo’s are not a good deal ! Pass on them ! If the roof goes you absorb that cost if the HOA doesn’t have a reserve . New building no reserve! Where is the in-unit washer and dryer .
i wouldnt say all condos are bad. You just have to do your homework into researching the affairs and history of the HOA before buying a condo in the HOA. Some HOA'S in DC are very efficiently ran and there also some not so great ones.
Not really the video was a lie. You don’t seem to know much about upper Nw. You called Van Ess, Forest Hills. Forest Hills is a very small part of Connecticut Ave. You are way off the mark with the last 2 videos I’ve seen. You need a bit more education on the city. Especially when you were describing the United States National Arboretum…. Ridiculous
@@MichaelCampanella-md6mr well, despite my “lack of knowledge” of upper NW, im glad you got that far in the video to notice my ridiculous description on the arboretum. Thanks for watching 😉
