My dad used to take us kids camping when I was a child. My last camping trip with my dad was sept 2018 to the Olympic peninsula. He was pretty full of cancer but we had a nice time and saw lots of the lush beauty of that region. Last time I had been there was the summer of 1973. You are bringing back lots of memories for me seeing this part of the world again.

We are retired here in Port Angeles, after years of working in Seattle. We love the Peninsula. Hurricane Ridge is one of our favorite retreats, under an hour from our driveway. If you go beyond the visitor area, the road will take you to a picnic spot with the same amazing views with hardly any people. We go there, passing through a full parking lot like you did, only to find ourselves alone at the quite picnic area just a little way on down the road. It's great to see your reaction to this area through new eyes. It truly is an amazing, 'lush' area. Thanks for visiting. Happy travels.

Hi Robert, I shared this on Facebook for my family and friends that live in the Olympic Peninsula. My mom lives in Sequim, I've visited family there ad even lived there and taught violin there. I spent many afternoon walking the John Wayne Marina, have been up to Hurricane ridge many. many times, once even at night! Such a really beautiful place! Next you go on the Coho ferry to Victoria, I spent my birthday a few years ago doing that day trip. So much fun to watch your videos in this region. And I admit, I have a bit of homesickness watching this. My sister lives blocks from where you filmed in downtown PA. Thanks again so much!

The best part of the Olympics is having to hike to see anything worth seeing. Hurricane ridge is about the only thing you can drive to. Everything you can see from Hurricane ridge, you have to hike to get to.

I just found your videos, and I am enjoying them (and you ) quite a lot. I went to Cape Flattery many years ago. I wanted to stand on the northwest tip of the contiguous 48 states. But I wasn't as lucky as you with the weather. It POURED rain on the day I was there. But I had gone all the way out there from the east coast, so nothing was going to stop me from getting to the tip. Even in the rain though, it was beautiful.

I'm very familiar with the area as my family lives there, though I live in the Northeast. Your photography is always wonderful. Last time I was at the Hurricane Ridge lookout, there was snow on the ground and no animals around. Then the mountains take on a frostier appearance. It's after all farther north than Maine. BTW, I wonder how many other people who follow you have your CD and play it routinely in their vehicles as driving music? It really works! Nothing quite like it. Thanks and best Oh BTW, that place at John Wayne Marina IS very upscale and worth it maybe if you're very rich. I've had occasion to go walking around the marina as its views are artistic, but I've never been in that restaurant either. LOL Oh and BTW there's a town in that state called George. That's right. Some people live there, LOL, in George, Washington. Some commented that Washington was pretty. Yeah, and Washington is the smallest of the 11 western states. The whole Puget Sound area is vast and deep and surrounded by evergreen forests. When the skies clear you can see stunning snowcapped mountains off in the distance. It's a land of salmon, dungeness crab, excellent carrot cake and split pea soup and plenty of good artisan brew and vinted. Washington is quite a place.

My county (Lewis) you can visit plenty of mountains and both volcanoes then drive over the pass to the east side & it becomes more desert . Sequim is the wealthy part of Washington as the weather is just about perfect year round

Beautiful! I lived in Washington many years, seeing some of the places you visited brought back wonderful memories. The Olympic peninsula is one of the prettiest places on this earth. Thank you once again for sharing your magnificent adventures with us. I look forward to seeing Victoria next with you. Lovely place.

You can drive on the beaches in Ocean Shores where permitted. Many vehicles get stuck too. Glad you made it up in my part of the country. The beaches can be cold even in the summer here. Oh AT&T is terrible in Washington. I had to switch to Verizon to have service.

Loved the video. My wife and I were in Olympic in July of 2019. Enjoyed seeing all the places we visited in your video, can't wait to go back. That trip opened our eyes to a possible RV journey ourselves. More to come on that over the next several months!
