One of the world’s largest neuroscience research buildings was celebrated in a dedication ceremony Jan. 18, 2024, on the Washington University Medical Campus. Also celebrated was its new name: the Jeffrey T. Fort Neuroscience Research Building, in recognition of a gift from Fort, a longtime supporter of the university. Washington University in St. Louis invested $616 million to construct the building, a state-of-the-art, 609,000-square-foot, 11-story building that brings together neuroscientists from a wide array of fields. The building was designed to help foster collaborations across various fields of expertise.
