After the last video ( • Washworld Razor with P... ), today I'm back up at the Thousand Oaks Car Wash (formerly Thousand Oaks Laserwash) in San Antonio TX, just off Thousand Oaks drive (hence the car wash site's name) where today I'll be showing you one of their 2 Washworld Razor touch free car washes that are paired up with PDQ LaserDri Dryers. This car wash used to have 2 Laserwash 4000 systems before, but they were slowly starting to show their age, and likely became difficult for the owner to maintain and repair over time, so in late 2019 or so, they opted to buy 2 new Razor's for the wash site, but in order to save money, the owner ended up keeping the original LaserDri dryers from the old 4000s (and if you didn't know these car washes any better, you would almost guess that the LaserDri dryers looks like they came with the Razor). Unlike the Razor in the right bay, the voice commands on this still work thankfully, but unfortunately at the cost of a blower nozzle missing on its respective LaserDri Dryers, and to add insult to injury, the nozzles don't move. I bought the top dollar wash for this video, which actually came out to only $12, and wash quality for this I would unfortunately give this a 5/10 (not as good as the left bay), undercarriage was excellent on this (I really love the power tower wheel cleaners on these Profiles and Razors), both presoak passes were decent, but you do notice that one of the sprayers on the top front of the wash arm is clogged and not spraying properly, which greatly affects its performance, and it also affected the high pressure rinse cycle, tri-foam application was very generous at least, and you will notice the wash arm was programmed to spray off the tri-foam instead of the overhead applicators like other locations would do, and weirdly, unlike the left bay, this still uses the wash arm for the clear coat polish and spot free rinse cycles, and those didn't do very good, primarily for the clogged sprayer on the top front of the wash arm once again (and it even still left soap on the vehicle as you can see on the windshield), and finally the LaserDri dryers left over from the old 4000 that this replaced actually were alright, despite the middle nozzle missing and the fact the blowers don't move anymore, it still seemed to do an OK job drying the vehicle. I hope you enjoyed the video and stay tuned for more.
