Wasim Akram who is also known as the sultan of swing bowled a great spell in his last match vs Australia. I edited this video to show the great seam bowling and swing bowling of Wasim Akram
damn, if i had given powers to bring back few star players from past at their prime the first player would be Wasim akram without any question. what a bowler.
The only bowler who born with swings ...man how can you play to bowler like him..he is a living legend I'm so happy that I watched him from 1992 till his last match...lots of respect...he should be called sir wasim akram...
I follow cricket from 1989. If I have to pick one player in the world I will pick Great WASIM AKRAM. World never see fast bowler like him. He was an magician with the new ball as well as old ball. Love from London
@@muzamilkhan7z yes he could have, he was 36-37 years old here but still he could have bowled 145+ kmph but he was trying to prevent injuries so he was bowling in the 135-136 kmph average speed which is still brisk. As a fast bowler, playing till the age of 36 itself is a huge thing. Of course in his youth, Wasim Akram was bowling at 140-150 kmph average speed while also swinging the ball both ways...
Many of the greatest modern bday batsmen would have been termed average mediocre batters , if they played in the 80s or 90s against wasim , waqar, Ambrose, Walsh, Warne, Murali, Donald, Pollock and not to mention the likes of earlier legends like Lillee, Marshal , Roberts Garner, Holding !!!!!!
THis is not a guy who should retire ... atleast 3 years left in him. amazing bowling ... end of his career and still beating the bat plus bowling at 85 mph
Short run up, seam and swing at will, and he could get any batsman out even on batting friendly conditions. In the 90s it was a treat to watch him bowl
It wasn't recorded. He was never very quick. I think he averaged 145 when he was young. People say that when he got slower he actually became deadlier. This is because the kind of pace he had also matched his movement, and he could cause the batsmen to mistime their shots. Being too quick can lead to the batsmen being beat with swing, instead of getting a snick.
This was the first ever match that I watched. I was only 8 years old. And didn't properly understand what cricket but the hype if the WC was something that attracted me towards cricket. My father and his friends were watching this match in my neighbor's house and they said Akram rips through the Australian top order. I'm 27 now and life has changed a lot but I'm yet to see a bowler like him in my life.
Even in his last ODI against Aus he was bowling bananas, still remember this spell watching live stream and thought he was still bowling so so well, shouldn't have retired another 3 to 4 years
I am an Indian and it has nothing got to do with me being a Muslim. Hindus and Muslims agree that Wasim is the greatest bowler ever. These jealous Aussies will say Lillee and also jealous Whites will say Marshall because Wasim is an Asian
I remember watching the Australian batting line up getting torn up by Wasim, when he was new to the Pakistan side as 17 yr old in the mid-eighties. I think he went 5/17. He beat them all with his pace. The most dangerous left hander bowler to date.
His speed is incredibly consistent ball to ball. He used to bowl the ball in a specific speed range to get the particular swing he was seeking, because it would do that swing only in that speed range.
I remember that like it was yesterday. The most ruthless Aussie ODI team I ever laid eyes on in that world cup with Brett Lee at his absolute Peak causing mayhem and Andrew Symonds coming of age in that match smashing 140 odd and threatening to knock Waqars head off after a beamer.
And then the carnage from the late Andrew Symonds, remember every bit of it, watched it live, Wasim still ended with best figures, there was no one to support him,
The legendary Wasim Akram, that unique bowling style...❤. In my opinion, Akram sir may be having more fans in India than in Pakistan. Actually he is very good batsman also, but Pakistan had not utilised his batting skills.
Of the many great Pakistani fast bowlers, I admire Wasimbhai for not only his God-level swing bowling but his great humble and decent persona👏👏. How I wish that in this last match Wasimbhai had a wicket each in every ball of this over and bring the arrogant Aussies down to their knees in helplessness🤔...ohh..How I wish!!!🤔🤔
Impressed by Wasim Akram bowling 85 MPH in his last career match, also impressed by Shoaib Akhtar who bowled a 159 kph in his second last match of his career
If this was today's Indian batting line up .( All Bateman back in the pavilion):😭😭. Other Kohli , ..every batsman struggle against swing and Seam conditions
In my book, Wasim Akram is the BEST fast, fast medium bowler the world has seen!! Not only that, the best bowler the world has seen - this bucket includes spinners too, preemptive clarification!! He should be among Wisden's top 5 cricketers, lost out as he is from Pakistan. But for Pakistani fielding, he would have averaged one more wicket per test than what the statistics reveal.
