You can do an infill by removing the gel polish and filling in with builder gel. I have also attached gel full cover tips with acrylic as l first learned with acrylic and like the way it is on my nails.

So the answer is to buy the sizes one typically uses? Not sure it gives advice on how to best use the tips you don't normally use, so as not to "waste" them

I think the point is instead of buying a new pack of all sizes, you’d only buy the sizes you used up. So you waste less… not waste free though 🤷‍♀️ I don’t do my nails using this so I could be wrong.

Yes, when you refill the most used sizes, eventually you will also use the ones that are used less often such as 0, 1 and 10. So you won't need to buy a new box of tips every time

Most of my own product is from Beetles! I love their gels, so easy to apply and I love the fact that most of them are one coat colors. I also use their full cover tips, I have them in several different shapes and use them all the time. I will tell you, you mentioned if one of the tips was too small it would fall off…..not true, I’ve used a slightly smaller tip hundreds of times and they last as long as the tips in my other nails. I’ve never had this brand break on me, always have to remove them 4 weeks later, sometimes longer, depending on if I want a different look. Also, if you’re very careful, you can file off the polish and do something different, after 4 weeks and just blend the cuticle area a bit to file down the area and make it flush. Hope this info helps someone ❤❤

It’s not mentioned explicitly, but if you know your exact size for each nail, you can just buy a refill box for that particular size instead of buying a whole box of tips with sizes that don’t apply to you.

I mean the numbers you don’t use much such as 0, 1, 10 - the ones that are left in the box . Normally, they’re not used and when you have to buy the new box of tips - they turn into waste. But when you refill the most popular numbers - they will eventually be used too

You can buy only the sizes you want in beetles whereas usually you have to get all the sizes

I've had poor success finding Long Almond PMMA tips. Apres tips are more like stiletto even though they sell them as almond. I was hoping Beetles might have them so I can get just the one size I need, but no luck. Are you aware of any manufacturer that makes a true almond that is "long" (like 33mm or more for a 0 or 1 size) and PMMA? I generally do overlays on myself and while I prefer my own nails beneath, I have to correct crooked nails and use gel. The most labor intensive is my thumb as it is also the most crooked, so I'm looking for a 0 or 1 size but I'm not adverse to buying a whole set just to gauge the size of a particular brand. Thank you for this review and your recommendations/tips. You're always so helpful. 😍🥰💖

Yes you apply the tips with base gel but you can also use acrylic if you prefer as that is what l prefer.

My question for everyone.. I file my nail. Clean dry. Do cutticles. Brush dust free. Put in dehydrator. Then primer, the the gel base...then cure in the Beetles light. Then the color, cure, colr again, cure. Then top coat and cure. And Ive tried 3 different brands of base gel. At different nail coloring tones. No mater what I use. They all get a bit tight on the sides and i find myself freeing a thin layer that must have leaked over the edge. But they all peel off so easily in a day or two days. When I do gel at salon they last weeks. What am I doing wrong??

My thumb is slightly bigger than a size 0 so I know the feeling. Here’s how I fix that. 1. Put the full cover tip further away from your cuticle. Usually the biggest part of the tip is at the base so if you move it a bit up your nail, it should cover the part of your side walls that are sticking out. Then you can use gel, poly gel, or acrylic to fill in the cuticle area. 2. Learn to use nail forms. With nail forms, it doesn’t matter how big or small your finger is because you get shape it to fit your nail perfectly. My only recommendation would be to let your natural nails grow out a little bit because they’re easier to use when you have a free edge. (I’m still not the best at this but practice makes perfect.) 3. Fill in the missing side walls with product. If you have a full cover tip or even a regular tip that doesn’t cover your entire nail, use a dry bead of acrylic, or a stiff poly gel to form the side of the nail. This one is a bit harder because you’re literally forming a nail over air but it’s honestly kind of fun to do. Hope that helps :)

Anastasia, what do you do if a client tells you the wrong product? My mom (who's not technically a client just a model) told me she had dip nails done. When removing them it was not acting like dip nails and I decided to try gel remover just in case because nothing else was working and the gel worked. Only after I used my gel remover did she say that she had to cure the dip under a lamp. It felt frustrating spending hours on product removal for it to be so simple, what do you do if this happens?

Could it be that she had dip powder but that the tech used gel basecoatas their dip liquid rather than the dip liquid (glue)?

I use gel with my dip powders as I don’t like the resins as they are superior glue based. For example Young Nails Slick Pour can be used with Caption which is gel. I not a fan of dipping powder anyway I prefer to use acrylic powder the traditional way or use hard gel 🤷‍♀️ After 32 years of doing nails you tend to stick to what works 😉

@@floofytailz l would ask if she went into the lamp a few times or just at the end to verify if glue or base gel was used. I file everything off but if l were you a few questions of how the nails were done would give you a better idea of what process and products were used. For example ,how many times did you put your hands under the nail light,was your hands only put under the nail lamp at the end of your appointment . Hope this helps.

I think that you may be able to see the links work is because the page it should go to is in your temp files on your computer so the browser is falling back to the copy of the page that is already in your temp files. I’m a regular 5”5’ size 10 women and I can not find any full cover tips that fit my thumbs. I don’t have giant man hands. I have very healthy natural nails with a natural c curve and they are up to a half inch too small. Companies making all these extra small sizes is insane to me since you can always file those down to fit however you can not add to make them bigger. It’s very frustrating. Making a nail tip Imm bigger and calling it a 00 is laughable. Gtfoh. I’ve wasted lots of money trying to find any company to fit me. They only make them bigger in the short size. Ffs I’m not going to pay for something I can grow size in two weeks. I even find myself disappointed in these tutorials. Please quit with the full cover tips videos. We get it. We need videos with skill involved instead of selling products for companies. I’m seriously going to start thumbs downing these videos. Tell us about forms and why to take corners of natural nails down or shaping a long ballerina or something. Literally anything but more full cover tips videos.

I have a solution for this! I hope i can describe it accurately. At the cuticle side of the tip (not the free edge side) cut a little V in the tip with some small scissors. That will allow the tip to spread and fit to your nail. It takes the tension off the nail and it won't spring up. Then simply attach like normal and after fill up the gap with the same builder gel you used as your extend gel. If that doesn't work and you need a tiny bit more to fit your nail, slide the tip down slightly so it's 1 to 2 mm away from your cuticle. Then you will have to fill up the V and the space in between the cuticle and tip. That should do the trick. Let me know if it helped and if you have other questions let me know!

It's fine she knows how not to shred the skin or otherwise cause injury while working right next to the cuticle. Being close makes things look way better.
